Gave a 2hr lesson to my mom as a bday present and Joe was awesome accommodating her and even made her laugh the whole time. She really enjoyed this once-in-a-lifetime experience and could not believe that even she, at her age and physical level managed to get up on a longboard! It was one of her favourite experiences in Oahu... More

Mother/daughter 54/19. This was our first time surfing and we had the most patient, perfect instructor in Christian. We were picked up at the hotel, given a land lesson at the surf office and then out to the beach. Christian had us standing on our boards right away. We had a great lesson. It's all we talk about now and... More

Had three days of private lessons and south tour with Gerald in February. Worth every penny and minute!! Gerald grew up surfing Oahu, definitely knows how to instruct, and was very professional and enjoyable to spend four days with. Having already had some surfing experience, but still a beginner, Gerald was superb at picking the waves and instructing. I had... More

Book your surf lessons with Kai's school. Feb. 2012 I learned to surf with the school and I am back for more surf and private lessons. If you are a beginner you will surf and love it! If you want to get better quickly, invest in some private or semi-private lessons. It will be so worth it...your surfing will improve... More

We did a group lesson for myself, our two sons ages 9 and 12, and for Grandpa, age 65. The younger son was a little nervous before the lesson but Gerald did a great job and the kids had an awesome experience. The boys outsurfed Dad and Grandpa! I'd highly recommend Kai Sallas' Pro Surf School to anyone who's ever... More

Gerald was our instructor for a two hour lesson. It was just me and my husband. We took a brief lesson in the shop and then we went to a quiet area of Waikiki beach. I am 36 and my husband is 42. Surfing has been on my bucket list forever and I thought I would give it my best... More

Mahalo, Gerald and everyone else at the Pro Surf School! I found these guys through a deal on Travelzoo - $99 for a two hour lesson and five days of board rental (you may be able to receive this deal directly through them if you just ask like I did). I had an amazing time in an afternoon group lesson... More

I had a great time surfing with this school!! Our class had just three people, and I caught plenty of waves! It was great to learn with a friendly and patient instructor too. And the photos taken really cap off the experience! Get out there and surf!

Great instruction! Being on a secluded beach allowed for more waves to ride and no collisions with swimmers. Private lessons are definitely worth the extra $. After 1 private lesson my fiancé and I were able to take what we learned and catch wave after wave on our own. Barak is the man! Mahalo!

After a short lesson on dry land we went surfing. First time I was told to paddle and to stand I did just so. It was a great experience for me and a lesson worth all the money.
