Bring your snorkel gear and underwater camera! You and NOT going to want to miss the marine life that will be swimming along side of you. Beautiful fish and small sea creatures. We were lucky enough to share the water with sea turtles!!! Priceless!!

I love this beach. Its mainly a local beach and dog beach. Its close to the Natatorium. Usually easy parking, and lifeguards and shower. At the hotel overlooking the beach there is a small convenience store for snacks etc. No shade! Bring an umbrella or walk to the grassy area by the showers and you will find benches and trees... I have been coming to this beach for over 35 years. My keikis( children) went swimming here at this safe beach. The reef protects it from big waves, just right for the little ones. Bathrooms are the down side, sometimes need to use port a potties. Outside showers to rinse off the sand. Small store nearby to buy snacks. If... More

The best beach , very calm and safe for the children . You can take a spot near the HILTON VILLAGE and watch the fireworks , just ask the schedule.

This is a little gem of a beach away from the main tourist crowd at Waikiki Beach. It is mostly a local crowd. Parking is usually plentiful except on weekends. Take plenty of quarters fro the meters. Some parking is free, but most are now metered. I live on Oahu and have been going to this beach for years. Do... More

This beach is not very crowded at all and is said to be among the cleanest beaches. There is no shade here however and it gets hot. If you bring your own umbrella, be prepared to anchor it down as the wind can pick up and run away with your umbrella. People have gotten creative and anchored them down with... More

A beautiful, uncrowded beach just a few minutes away from crowded Waikiki. Leave the crowds behind and head for this local favorite. It's at the end of Kapiolani Park just past the Aquarium and next to the crumbling War Memorial Natatorium. It's a good mix of gay and straight locals who like to show off their beautiful bodies, and also... More

If your in Waikiki and want a bit of a quieter beach, this is great. Wonderful for swimming. Showers, bathrooms, park...all right there. A lot of locals come here.

If you're staying in Waikiki, Kaimana Beach, named after the nearby hotel, is just a short walk away and a nice beach to go to. A very cool place to relax and to feel you are on vacation. Its very quiet, the water is calm.
