This is one of the most popular spots for locals to catch some rays and to swim in the ocean. The water is clean and the beach not busy with commercial activities. There are a lot of beautiful people who hang out here and the people are friendly. The Hau Tree Lanai at the New Otani Hotel that is adjacent... More

Easily accessible public beach a short distance from Waikiki beach. Was not crowded at all in February. Good parking.

This is a wonderful beach for all ages. Unless there is a big southerly swell, the water is calm and the sea floor slopes gently enough that even toddlers can enjoy the water. The reef is not far from shore so anyone competent at snorkeling can enjoy the fish in an easily accessible, safe place.

I love coming here, because the water is very calm and always warm. There is usually a lot of people on weekends, so finding parking can take some time. There are restrooms and showers near the beach. It is also a common place for BBQs and family parties, so sometimes the green area can be crowded, it is also near... More

This is a great beach if you want Waikiki but not with a lot of tourists. This beach is frequented more my locals. There is a reef so it is protected from big waves. You can swim, snorkel or even surf without a ton of tourists. There is a shower and you can go inside the hotel to use the... More

Nice beach not as crowded as Waikiki but still quiet full, with hire facilities for boards, boats, bikes and water equipment nearby. Went kayaking and enjoyed. Some low grade eateries nearby.

This is another great beach to visit. All the rest rooms on the public beachs are not very clean, but still available when needed. We went on a Wednesday and there were only 8 of us on the Beach - nice place to relax and soak up the sun.

While there are definitely nicer beaches outside of Waikiki area, if you want to stay in town this is less crowded and nicer than main Waikiki beaches. Near Kapiolani park, good swimming, snorkeling and nice feel. Less touristy than most of Waikiki.

located right in front of the Kaimana hotel, but a public beach, nice and clean and quieter that Waikiki. The hotel provides a sunblock so there are some shade parts which suited us. As it is located about a ten minute plus walk form Waikiki there is not food/drink vendors and I don't think there are any toilets expect those... More

I swam and snorkeled here after walking around Diamond Head. The beach is gentle in comparison to nearby Waikiki. The bottom is sandier with less reef rock and has some limited snorkling closer in towards the shore near the breakwall. Be careful of the current. At mid morning, the crowd was light. Enjoyable.
