Even though it rained for a large portion of our tour, we still had a great time. Our guide, Olav, was extremely knowledgeable and kept our attention the entire tour. I don't know how he remembered all the stories, dates, and names but he made everything very interesting. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the... More

As I sit here today wearing my Wiki Waki Woo t-shirt (purchased at their museum at the end of the tour), I can't help but recall the vast amount of wisdom, knowledge, and information provided. Olav, Duke and the others are enthusiastic guides and their ability to recount the details leading up to Dec. 7, 1941, the day itself, and... More

(Actually, Home of the Brave doesn't operate on weekends, so in order to get close to Dec. 7th on a given year, I might have to go the Friday before.) I've met many wonderful friends through these tours, including the Tomlinson family, Olav Holst and Bob Anderson. The tours open your mind to a fascinating, important, bygone era. Where else... I wish I could give this one 100 stars. Went to HI for our 25th anniversary in April 2014. This was the absolute best day. Of course Pearl Harbor portion was sobering and awing, I have to say that the way the Home of the Brave museum brings the day home, is just amazing. It was long day, and to... More

Last December, I took my 5th Home of the Brave tour, and it just never gets old. My sister, a first-timer to Hawaii, was with me and the tour is about the only part of the trip she talks about. I've had tours with both Duke and Olav, and they are both knowledgeable and personable. Glenn and Janet are great... More

Our guide was great, really knows his stuff, the bus had video clips and interesting pics. This was our longest tour while here but we learned so much. The brewseum at the end was awesome! I highly recommend this tour if you want to really dig into the history of WWII.

In addition to being a great escort for our full day tour of the Oahu WWII sites, our tour guide Duke enriched our experience with movie clips, documentary footage, and terrific anecdotes that brought the period to life for us. ->>the 2nd bombing of Pearl Harbor, the midget sub officer who ended up leading Toyota Brazil, the embassy spy...You'll have... My parents had suggested this tour and they weren't wrong. Our guide knew what he was doing and gave us great details and back stories with every place we visited. One of the best attractions was their own museum and the Brewseum next door. Will probably go by before we leave Hawaii just to go to the Brewseum and have... More

Enjoyed this tour but was hard to rouse the family after our Luau the night before....so, take it from me, make sure you get a good nights rest before taking this tour. Loved all the history tid bits we got while on the bus. Our guide, Duke was fun and knowledgable. Our tour bus, however, seemed on it's last legs... More

This tour was booked as a tour from our Princess Cruise line. We had Olav as our guide and the information he provided during the tour was amazing. He was well informed about all the areas and events of the time period. I had seen the Pearl Harbor memorial many times but wanted to learn more about the military bases... More
