The hike is a bit challenging especially towards the end, but it is completely worth it once you the top! Wear good running shoes & bring lots of water! Also, take your time when hiking up the crater. The views are absolutely breathtaking. It was so amazing I did it twice!

If you are in great shape and want an island workout; this is it. You will climb over 1000 stairs and end up with a beautiful view of the island. Wear a lot of sunscreen and bring a large water. It was worth the hike, but like I said: it is not easy. We saw several people turn around on... More

This is a fun "hike." Some people are there to exercise and are up the mountain in 15 minutes. With a 10 year old, it took us at least an hour. Don't go too strong at the beginning, it gets much steeper after the halfway mark. The view and breeze were great at the top. It's a narrow trail but... More

Was trying to go Hanauma bay but there's no parking so detour to Koko. Didn't know the intensity, but glad I tried and concured it. This is not a beginner trail at all, don't be fool by people running down. It's difficult to go up and down as steps are not even. Tips, there's a little trail on the right... More

With 1050 steps this is one awesome cardio workout. Bring lots of water. Enjoy the 360 deg. views. Parking was easy. Take your time and enjoy!

Our bus driver was very interesting and knowledgeable telling us about the dormant volcano, the slow drive through the National Cemetery and giving us good information about the State Capitol and Iotani Palace, also about the last Queen of Hawaii.

We headed to Koko when we saw how crazy busy Diamondhead was. Almost no one in the parking lot at Koko Head, which was great. But, this is not a beginner trail or for kids or elderly. You literally go straight up.

This is not an easy hike. It is very difficult physically, but once you get to the top, you are treated to some breathtaking views of Oahu. And, you will feel really good about yourself for having made it.

The hike started with staring up at koko head trail and wondering how we (my husband, our friend and his kids- a cheerful 11 year old, a very active 16 year old and I) would make it. The first half seemed do-able and then it got steeper and we were not very sure if we can do it. It took... More

Great hike, you'll sweat but the view is worth every step. Parking is free but on Oahu leave nothing absolutely nothing in your car. It will be stolen if items seen and car isolated.
