My husband and grandson just did this hike. You walk up some old railroad tracks (there are no handrails). At one point you walk across a gully (on the railroad tracks with no handrails), then one part of the trail is almost straight up. You need to be in good shape to do this hike. Coming down you will need... More

No easy climb. At just over a 1000 steps and most of those at a steep incline in the heat of the sun, this is not for the faint of heart. However, for those with the stamina and courage to climb will be rewarded with a spectacular view of Oahu from the top and one of the most refreshing breezes... More

This is a great spot to start exploring the island, and get a fantastic view of the sea. The walking paths can be a challenge for those who are out of shape, but at least they are paved.

Definitely a nice little work out! You walk up the disused railway track to incredible views at the top. The views are worth the sweat and muscle burn! It's pretty steep and there was area of the track, about 70% of the way up, that had pretty big gaps between the rail way sleepers and a drop to the ground,... More

Make sure you take water with you! It's gonna take some time for people who aren't in the best shape. Like an hour half of your time to go up! If you're on vacation don't plan on doing anything the following day, because you will be sore! Stop at Kona Brew in the shopping center to celebrate once you've safely... More

I had a great experience hiking with my 9 nine years old son. He made it all the way to the top, is a very hard climb, love it. Can't wait to do it again!

Our sons did this hike and said it was strenuous. My husband and I (age 60) did not tackle this one. Great view from the top, I must say!

We took the bus here and did the climb in the afternoon. It took us about 25 mins, but it was no easy feat! There is no shade on the tram lines, so don't forget your water. The views at the top are a fantastic reward (coupled with amazing breeze!) I would definitely recommend this to anyone of decent fitness... More

If you are fit and healthy and keep moving, this trail will make you work. If you are not fit and healthy this trail could be brutal. It varies in steepness but is never flat. If you keep moving I guarantee you will work. The railroad ties are spaced far enough apart and each one higher enough than the last... More
