I spent two weeks on Oahu, working and had to be careful to selectively choose high bang for the buck leisure activities for the small amount of free time I was fortunate to find. I chose Waimanalu beach park, Diamond head, and Koko head crater peak. The latter was easily the most memorable. The hike up is definitely no cake... More

Save your workout for another day when heading to Koko Head, you'll need the energy. With over 1000 steep steps in a straight line towards the big man upstairs, you might feel like knocking on heaven's door. The path is about 4 ft. wide most of the way up, so when the trail is crowded on weekend mornings, fancy footwork... More

The walk was fantastic ! The views at the summit are wonderful and gives a unsurpassed perspective of the island from the vantage point. We went at 2 pm which was very HOT . Probably early morning is better to escape the heat

This hike was pretty tough for the average hiker, but the views are indescribable. Worth every step. Bring shoes with some grip as the ground can be a bit slippery.

For those who think you can not hike this tall, think again. The hiking trail has many people walking from the elderly to little children. If they can do it, you can. You will enjoy the hike, a sense of accomplishment afterward, and a beautiful view at the end. I am suggesting you find a good tennis shoes for your... More

Trip: bring a liter or more of water if you hike during the afternoon. The hike it self is very straight forward, upwards on a slight incline which is made partly all steps. Once on top you receive a gorgeous view of the center of Oahu.

Wow, wow, wow. Let me just start by saying that. This climb is not easy, but definitely worth it and possible if you're prepared accordingly. Take a lot of water, wide hat, good walking shoes and wear sunscreen. I don't get those who climbed wearing a bikini and flip flops or had a small bottle of water in their hand... More

This is a tough climb ascending 1200 feet in just 3/4 of a mile but the views from the top are spectacular! If its a clear day you can see Maui, Lanai and Molokai! Well worth the hike and the sweat as the payoff is worth it.

Little difficult to do it for people who doesn't exercise at all; however, anyone can do it, because the view is totally worth it. Go before 9am to avoid getting up with many people.
