This is not your typical hike. It is really one hell of a workout. The trail is a straight line up the side of Koko Head on an abandoned military railroad track. It is not too scenic on the way up but once you get up to the pillboxes. It is an incredible view 360 degrees around. You need to... More

Let's start with this: i have read many reviews and how horribly hard this trail is. A little bit about me: I am 27, don't do anything except a little bit of dancing and a little bit of yoga, that's all. Do i get tired when i go up the hill? yes! So when my boyfriend suggested we are going... More

I always make time to hike Koko Head. It's a grueling hike but the view is worth it. It's great exercise and love seeing all the people attempting to conquer this. Love Koko Head!

My daughter found this place and wanted to tackle it. 4 of us started, and 2 of us made it to the top. This is not for unfit people. I'm in good shape, but my legs were burning so badly about 150 steps from the top that I turned back. My teenage kids both made it, so all good. It... More

My legs are still sore! I cam here around 7am so I didn't have to fight for parking and sweat to death. Boy, did I figure out how unfit i was. There's are so many steep steps I had to stop a few times. There were a few locals running up and down the stairs while I just watched in... More

This walk has a great view at the top and is very difficult if you are not fit. Near the top you need to climb more as the steps are quite large. There were some bees on this walk, so bee (hehe) careful.

This is the "Stairclimber from Hell". Holy molly!!! I climbed Kota Kinabalu (second-highest mountain in SE Asia) but this one feels like I'm having a heart attack!! It was a good hike today but I'm having a love-hate relationship with Koko Head. Going up is torture coz you have to work your cardio a lot! But once you get to... More

The Koko Crater is beautiful, I didn't get to hike this trail this visit but just the beauty of going and seeing it has made me want to go visit again and hike the trail to the top and take amazing photos. This is a beautiful Crater and I would be proud to say that I was able to make... More
