We attended a Makana concert last night at this theater. It is a really beautiful, small theater that has been graciously restored. The sound quality was excellent. Check their website and attend an event here if you are in Honolulu. You won't be disappointed. It is an easy trip on the bus, and you can buy tickets from the box... More

Aloha, We live here and this is a Great theater. This is a big theater for Honolulu but not too large and that's what makes it great. almost every seat is a good seat, not the nose bleed seats of a stadium or huge theater. We have been to this theater many times. There are comfy seats and they do... More

Attend the Hawai'i Theatre to see the A Cappella Group, Straight No Chaser, perform a concert in January 2015. The concert was great fun. SNC put on a great show and I'd highly recommend a chance to go see them. The Theatre itself is a really cool old style theatre with gold trim and murals all around. Definitely was a... More

Traveled to Chinatown to hear some Messiah and get into the Christmas mood this season. This is a beautiful building with convenient parking 1 block north. Great military discounts. The one funny thing to me is the seating was designed way back when Americans were thinner. Watching some of the attendees get in their seats was...sad. But what a beautiful... More

Starring local KHON Fox News Anchor Joe Moore and his buddy, Pat Sajak, star and host from "Wheels of Fortune". Come on down and witness a dramatic comedy of two friends performing on stage. Two old men that meets in a park, who are totally the opposite, one a former barber and the other a retired American sea captain where... More

Worth a visit either to tour or attend an event. It is a beautifully restored historic theater with wonderful acoustics.

A cute theater, maybe in the 1970's but this place has worn out its appeal for the new century. Unless you are a drama fan, don't bother stopping by.

We saw Bill Maher on New Years Eve. Great crowd, great show! The theater is old style with beautiful lobby and stage. Seats were comfortable and we had a great view from our balcony seats.

Hubby and I try to catch our favorite guitarist Joe Bonamassa in concert whenever we can. To our delight Joe was appearing at the Hawaii Theatre during our Hawaii vacation, so we ordered our tix and looked forward to the evening. The theater is in Oahu's Chinatown district, and has been lovingly restored to its' earlier glory, reminding us of... More
