Enjoyed seeing where the men slept between large rockets. Nice tour of the inside of the submarine to see how the lived and the ammunition they carry.

Having never been on a submarine, it was marvelous to see how the navy personnel had their bunks, kitchen and eating facilities. My engineer husband loved seeing all the huge engines, telescopes, torpedoes, etc. Definitely worth the tour!

While at Pearl Harbor we visited the Bowfin. It is impossible not to appreciate the difficult life those sailors endured. It is tight, designed strictly for optimal use of space, and tiny inside. Those sailors have not merely my respect but awe. They had to be among the most easy-going individuals to live in a sardine can for weeks at... More

If you're a techno head you'll love this submarine. Meticulously restored - it's a marvel of engineering for the time. Loved it!

Cheap and worth doing while you wait on Arizona memorial boats. Only issue we had was the Asian in the submarine's kitchen that couldn't speak English but laughed the entire time! Actual items the men had to use and endure while on the submarine. Great information shared on board as well.

The audio tour made it worthwhile. Pointed out the things I would of missed and answered most of my questions. Definitely worth the $10

I love submarines, so to have the chance of a self directed audio tour of a WWII sub, it was fantastic. Did it in 1 hour before we headed to Arizona memorial.

When you visit the park this is a ad on for a price. Though a bit expensive, worth experiencing, since the details are explained very nicely during the audio tour that is available in many languages. Make sure to take your time, listen to the presentation and you feel a bit like you were there.

In addition to the Arizona Memorial/WWII Valor in the Pacific Monument, there are three other attractions- the Bowfin Submarine, the Battleship Missouri, and the Pacific Aviation Museum. If you have limited time, see this one first. (It is adjacent to the AZ Memorial/WWII Valor in the Pacific Monument.) The sub is in excellent repair. With the self-guided audio tour (no... More
