I am an advanced certified diver and this was my first ocean dive. The staff was honest, efficient, laid back, and very friendly. We felt well-cared for, and the dive was awesome. The pick up and drop off was also a really nice part of the package. No time was wasted, which I really appreciated, and we saw some really... More

We are experienced divers and like many of you were attracted by the the 6 divers or less everytime. We wanted to do a morning dive but there were not enough divers signed up so we went with the afternoon group. So they dive with 6 or less but it has to be more than two apparently. Sean picked us... Aloha Nancy. I am truly sorry that you didn't have a good time on your dives, however there are a couple inaccuracies in the review. First being that you did not dive with me (Sean) - I wasn't available on the 8th or 9th and worked neither of those days - I'm a bald guy with lots of tats. As... More

Good small group and two comfortable reef dives to start trip. Water conditions were not perfect but dive master (sorry I forgot his name but very nice young man) and boat captain took us to pretty good spots. Handled current & surge well and saw plenty turtles, eels, one big octopus that we played with and lots of ocean stuff.... More

After looking at reviews on trip advisor, facebook and yelp I settled on either Oahu diving or Reef Pirates. Oahu diving seems to cater more to uncertified, beginner, or divers that would like a refresher course where as, Reef Pirates caters more to the intermediate/advanced diver. Pirates does go over basic hand signals and safety precautions before you get in... More

I've been lucky enough to experienced many dive operations. Reef Pirates hit every 'thumbs up' expectation. Price was right (equipment included). Safety was paramount. Dive Master and crew were fun and knowledgeable. They asked questions of everyone and incredibly they listened. The dive was not over-crowded or rushed. They demonstrated care and concern for the environment. They even had a... More

After researching several companies, we called another dive operation who were booked for the days we planned to be in Honolulu. They referred us to Reef Pirates down near Koko Head volcano and gave them high marks, and we were not disappointed. Everything about them exceeded our expectations. They leave early in the morning enabling customers to finish their two... More

I have been diving all around the world (I am a PADI IDC Staff Instructor) - I highly recommend Reef Pirates Diving. They only take 6 or less divers out (no cattle boats like some of the other dive shops on Oahu). Very personal service! FREE pick up from your hotel in Honolulu or Waikiki Beach. No hurry during the... More

I first attempted to get certified with a different dive company on Oahu called Ocean Legends. They ended up being terrible because I actually almost drowned with them. I decided to give diving another shot a few weeks later, this time with Reef Pirates, and my experience could not have gone any better! The vibe I got from Reef Pirates... More

Having dived with numerous dive companies throughout the years, I can confidently say that Reef Pirates Diving is amongst the best of the best. It is a highly conscientious, highly organized company that provides outstanding service to its customers. - 1) First and foremost, Reef Pirate Diving limit its group sizes to six divers. The other local dive companies appear... More

The service is good. They effectively avoid to overload the boat, the rented equipment works well and the pickup service is excellent, especially if you don't have a car available. My air consumption is generally really good, and they didn't force me to immediately surface when the other divers finished the air. Sadly, I got an unpleasant surprise the day... More
