This unique aquarium is a very nice stop. Inexpensive, great for getting out of the heat and lots of seating area for taking breaks. The displays were well thought out inside however were not that impressed with outside. Took the walking tour which involved recorded material through headphones. Too detailed for me but interesting, shorter would be better. Once is... More

Came here thirty years ago and the place is still a great little aquarium. Staff is super friendly and it is great for little kids. Very affordable and nice.

This aquarium is a really good display of native Hawaiian marinelife, but falls short of most modern mainland aquariums. It is only $12 dollars to get in so it is priced appropriate to what it is

My wife and I went to the aquarium on our last day in Hawaii. The admission fee was $12 per person. The aquarium was nice but somewhat small. Doesn't compare to New England Aquarium or the National Aquarium but still worth a visit. Favorite exhibits were the jellyfish.

We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the fish displays. The focus is on local coral reefs and their fish. It is impressive that they are propagating coral with the hope to restore the now damaged and vanishing reefs. We have been to much larger and flashier aquariums, but this one was more enjoyable.

Well, it's an Aquarium, but with a Hawaiian flair. Very cool, very nicely done, and tons of interesting fish and other aquatic creatures. Very enjoyable and you could go at your own pace.

I read the reviews of the Aquarium before I visited, and they were so mixed I really wasn't sure what to expect. But I would highly recommend this little aquarium - especially if you're looking for a bit of an indoor activity on a cloudy day. The audio tour is a must (and bonus - it's FREE), and the price... I visited this aquarium in January 2015. The admission price was reasonable and included an audio tour. The first area in the aquarium focuses on coral reefs and how they are being damaged. Tanks full of coral reefs highlight many colorful and strange types of aquatic life. I definitely saw things I had never seen before and learned new things... More
