This is one of the best "small" aquariums you will find anywhere. In an age of mega-aquariums as civic draws and landmarks you have a few gems like the Waikiki Aquarium which provides the visitor a far less hectic and yet high quality aquarium experience. The indoor tanks are all very well done, illuminated good, and feature the aquatic life... More

I took a choir of elementary and middle school children, mostly boys. The tropical fish are much more colorful than two aquariums I visited on the West Coast. Elevated carpeted areas in front of the fish tanks make it possible for small children to see the fish. Outside areas include opportunities to touch live sea creatures, and inside viewing areas... Small aquarium that does not rival Baltimore or Monterry. But, it has an abundance of local (Hawaiian) sea life and some are pretty amazing. Only a few parking spaces in their tiny lot so street parking is best. Or, take a taxi or trolley. You can get a discount for military or kaimaina. Clean restrooms and a small gift shop.... More

The aquarium is cute and pretty convenient if you have small children. If you purchase the week long Trolley pass, the aquarium is included in your purchase. If not, the aquarium is $12 per person, but if you're military I believe you get a discount. The aquarium is not very big, it's on the smaller size on comparison to most... More

This is a small aquarium with several of the local fish and water creatures. The indoor portion was preferred to the outdoor area of the aquarium. The headset narration was best for children - although I enjoyed listening to several of the sections. We completed our walk through in about an hour. If you have AAA or AARP you can... More

I read the other reviews on tripadvisor, and most said the aquarium is very small. I thought - it can't be that small! But it is!! My three boys and I took our time looking at the fish tanks and listened to the (included in entry fee) audio tours. We probably spent no longer than 45 minutes here. The boys... More

When I think of aquariums, I guess I think of Shedd in Chicago or even a Ripley's in Tourist town USA! When we thought of going here, I was assuming that it was going to be cool since it was right on the ocean.......unfortunately we were wrong for assuming. This aquarium was very weak and very boring!!! The whole aquarium... More

The aquarium is by no means large or spectacular compaired to aquariums I have been to, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. It is small but the aquariums are beautiful. You get a go overview of the fish in the Hawaiian waters. There is a lot of information available and outside is a rockpool with an attendent who lets you... More

It's a pretty nice aquarium, small and cozy. Honestly, I was expecting a bit more. It is a short walk from the Pacific Beach hotel. Another attraction across the street is the Honolulu Zoo!!! If you have a couple hours, check it out

Even though the size of the facility is not very big, it is very well furnished. All the species are very well displayed and described. We also appreciated the possibility of selecting several languages in the audio description.
