My son and I have gone to the Waikiki Aquarium many times over the years. We continue to enjoy visiting. There is parking out front--it can get crowded but if you go early you should get a space. The aquarium is full of different marine life. The display that showcases the pacific is wonderful, so many different corals and marine...

When you think of visiting an aquarium in Hawaii, you immediately expect it to be over the top beautiful. The aquarium was just okay. I would recommend you check it out, but it's not a must see.
This is a small sized aquarium but no one ever said it was like a huge Seaworld attraction. Well kept outside grounds with displays that are linked to an audio unit you are provided with on entry.
The interior display of various fish, corals, jellyfish, eels, gigantic clams and huge gropers is excellent and informative. It doesn't take long to...

There were some beautiful fish in the aquarium but I was disappointed that it was such a small place. It took no time at all to walk through the inside of the aquarium so we thought that maybe there would be more to see outside, unfortunately it was the same. I don't think it was worth the price of admission.
Visited this in May 2013 while staying in Waikiki.
Small but well kept grounds with some large outdoor displays. Most of the displays are inside.
You carry an MP3 player that you key in the attraction number and it tells you the details of the item you are looking at. Excellent knowledgeable volunteers are available to provide additional information.

This tiny aquarium is great for an hour or two. The exhibits really let you experience what goes on under the water in Hawaii. The chambered nautilus is great to see as well as the jellies and the giant clam.
This is a great little aquarium as an alternative to the beach for little ones. We visited twice in the 3 weeks that were on the island. My toddler and I walked here easily from the Hilton Waikiki (about .7 mile each way). There are a variety of fish & underwater creatures to see, and the steps up to some...

This is a small but well planned and set out aquarium. There is lots of information on all the exhibits.
Most of the exhibits are indoors. There are also some outdoors, including the best one, which is the Hawaiian Monk Seals. There are two of them and at this time they are kept separately. They are very cute and clever....
