This is one of those places that the tours drop you at and they give you a lift back or drop you at the beach, the only problem is there are always more people at the bus stop than will fit on the mini bus and they only go to the beach when they feel like it.

Hilo Hatties use to be so much more then what it is now. There use to be alot more unique things to buy and a much large selection of Hawaiian clothing. Now it's mostly clothing but it's the same prints just in different departments. The prices also seem to have taken a steap climb and the best part, the bargin... More

EXTREMELY disappointing. One of our guests had read about Hilo Hattie online, so I looked it up to see what they were talking about. Wow! All sorts of cultural activities! How had I missed this before?? So we loaded up our visitors and drove in from Waianae. We were greeted at the door with shell leis and free drinks. The... More

It had been many years since we last were here. There is a free shuttle from Waikiki that runs several times a day. I think it also stops at the Ala Moana Mall for a small fee. There is a very small Hilo Hattie also in the mall...I think this flagship store is nicer. Free parking. You get a puka... More

Online and brochures advertised unique souvenirs, hawaiian crafts, ukele, hulu, lei making etc. Welcome juice, Dole ice cream. Arrived and even though area was set up for the crafts etc was informed was discontinued "last week". Juice machine "out of order" Dole Ice Cream Machine "out of order" Merchandise about the same as what can get at the ABC stores,... More

Good selection of Hawaiian merchandise. Read the tags on the Aloha Shirts, many of the lower priced ones are made in China - not Hawaii.

I found Hilo Hattie tucked away in the Ala Moana Shopping Centre beside Barnes & Noble. I went there especially for my mum, because she requested a muumuu and while I was there I bought my brother a Hawaiian shirt. Thankfully, the sales persons were able to FedEx the gifts home, because I was headed elsewhere and didn't need the... More

used to be able to count on HH for some decent candy and a moderately priced Aloha shirt, this store has gone down hill since I was here last. Minimal selection of Aloha wear, less varieties of candy. This store now focuses on the jewelry hard sell so many describe here. Service was painfully slow when I did buy some candy and... More

You can't visit Hawaii without a tour of one of several Hilo Hattie's stores. Not as reasonable as in the past, but many items are actually made in Hawaii such as clothing. Her free shuttle buses are helpful for those that do not rent transportation. The Honlulu branch has a snack bar and is close to Costco.

We frequent this establishment every time we are in Honolulu, and make a regular purchase of some items to bring back home as gifts.. Unfortunately this time around we were very disappointed. Their pricing has increased and quality of service has declined. Avoid this establishment when the cruise ships are in town, as the shuttle service becomes highly unreliable, with... More
