I have been to Hawaii every year, since 1978, and lived on the Kaneohe Marine base. I love Hilo Hattie's and enjoy everything that's in their stores, across the other islands as well. Hilo Hattie's has a free shuttle that will take tourists (and their wallets) to their largest store. The driver of the shuttle also served as a tour guide and she pointed out several things, which we found to be very helpful. This place bills itself has having a low-price guarantee but don't believe it. It is the same trinkets found elsewhere on the island, but hardly any were cheaper than other places. It is kind of fun to walk around, but don't expect the deals they claim. more
