It's not a bad hike at all. Go early before lots of tourists come--better view and you aren't fighting for space :)

Enjoyed the hike up Diamond Head. Not and easy walk, suggest going early in the day when cooler and wearing proper footwear (runners and take water). Great exercise. Took bus from Waikiki Beach for $2.50.

Easy to get to, beautiful views, and a reasonable workout. Make sure you take at least half a liter of water. Enjoy!

Nasty walking trail up the mountain, but well worth it. Saw some silly people trying to walk up in sandals & others with strollers - both which should be strongly discouraged. Lots of steep areas to get to the top & stairs as well. Most of the trail is very narrow but it is well worth the walk. Enjoy it!

This trail was a little challenging for being or of shape and overweight. There are a set of stairs that is quite the breath taker. ... but all in all a good, easy and fun hike for sure. The views are spectacular. You can see the Makapu lighthouse as well as the whole city of Honolulu. It was amazing!

Stunning views, the guide told us about the history, where to take pictures etc. So close to Waikiki and so beautiful! And that for only $ 26 (including pick-up from the Hotel)

Well worth the trip - lots of history and great views. Good idea to go early in the morning to miss the heat and some of the crowds.

Great View of Waikiki and the island/ocean...It was a long climb (close to an hour) so use comfortable clothing and shoes. Take breaks when needed, but very well worth it. Arrive early to avoid crowds (the earlier the better).

We didn't plan on going to diamond head but we had extra time and were driving by so we did! I luckily had on my sneakers, it would have been a lot slower and tougher in sandals. (but I did see people doing it) It's quite a climb, and if you're in shape I'd say 30-40min and if you're not... More
