This is definitely a must to do while vacationing in Oahu! Somewhat of a challenging hike, but you are rewarded with an incredible view at the top!

I knew little about this attraction before we went. Glad that we did go. But definitely more for those who enjoy hiking up a crater at least one mile. Learned the history of its name and was amazed by how BIG it is. Got great pictures. Glad I went.

This is the second time that we have done Diamond Head and it is so worth the climb. Bring cash for a shaved ice at the bottom as a reward. We took the bus the first time we visited and it was fine. However, the bus drops you outside of the volcano crater and you walk up a hill, through... More

I would classify this hike as mild-to-moderate intensity, depending on your fitness level. However, it is certainly appropriate for all as long as you take your time and rest if you need to. The trail itself is well-marked and very well-maintained. At the top of the Diamond Head Crater, there is a 360-view of Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean. It... More

This is a good spot for an afternoon walk or run where you can see nice views of the ocean and surfers. It gets busy when the surf is good and hot during the day, so best times are early morning and late afternoon.

Diamond Head is visible from many locations. We went to Diamondhead a few times and the family hiked there. I did not but everyone else did, multiple times. Need a car or a tour to get there, unless you are a great walker.

Views were fantastic. A must see. Walk can be a bit difficult for those not very fit but if you take your time it is well worth it. Beautiful views.

It is not a climb for everyone as it can be challenging for some but the reward of the views is worth it take the time to talk to the local dude at the top and get the t-shirt as it supports their efforts

We walked from Waikiki area all the way up to the top and back and enjoyed every step. Look forward to doing it again. Well worth the effort and it can be a little tough, especially the last 99 steps! Wear good walking, hiking shoes.
