It takes exactly 45min to walk up and down with my 2 kids. Great view of Honolulu and refreshing hiking experience. highly recommended.

This hike is paved the whole way and is fairly easy. Bring a hat because sun beams down! Took us no time to get to top. There are different bunkers along the way and places you can take some pictures. The view is amazing and I think everyone can enjoy this hike. kid friendly.

Its listed as a Novice Hike in the guide books.. this is far from the truth, i was speaking to the guy selling t-shirts half way up (only $11 and you get a certificate you'll want it show you mastered this climb) and there have been over 45 rescues from the mountain just this year mainly down to heat exhaustion... We arrived about 10.30am and the place was fairly quiet ,the hike to the top starts of fairly gentle but soon becomes quite steep, when you get to the intersection you can go either the steps option(Right) or the easier option (Left) If you are already blowing hard go left its easier.Having said that the views all around are breathtaking. Please bring... The weather was nice and we thought it was going to be closer that it actually was but we figured why not keep going, we've come this far. The little pamphlet they give you is a nice additive to spot things along the way. Once you get to the top it gives an excellent overview of southeastern Oahu. Bring good... More

Very crowded so go early before breakfast to assure getting parking spot, the crowds and heat. Went at 7am and the trail was full the whole way up and down.

This was absolutely beautiful. We were almost too late and we were on site 30 minutes after it opened. This place packs up with tourists very early and everyone has to use the same trail. Go early, go up quickly and enjoy the view.

Did not go right inside, but still has a nice view from half way, not too busy, and a short distance from Waikiki, I think it has a trolley that goes up there.

This is a great hike to do very early in the morning before it gets hot. I went for the early morning sunrise and realized lots of people had the same idea, so very busy. The views were amazing. Such a nice hike I did it 4 times.
