We rode bikes which we got at the Kahala hotel and rode to Diamond Head. Climbed to the top and wow was it worth it. Great views. Clear sunny day and hot. Bring lots of water or buy it there at the food truck. Shaved ice after was too sweet but nice and cold.

The view is beautiful, and the climb up is not very hard. Definitely go see when the sun rises. Old and young alike could do this trail pretty easily.

The walk through the crater, then up to the old military instillation base look-out is breathtaking. Or, walk along the main road from Waikiki up to Earhart aviation memorial. Another spectacular view. Just pace yourself at both, and bring at least 2 litres of water.

Go early, or else it gets really crowded. The climb wasn't hard. The trail started off paved, then unpaved, followed by steps. However, it's not a difficult trail. Just take it easy. I saw people of all ages climbed up to the top of Diamond Head. The view at the summit is nice. It's totally worth the climb.

It was such a great and easy hike. But if you're winded once you get to the top go left up the ramp instead of right up the narrow staircase. It's a much easier trip.

Pretty views, moderately difficult hike. Take plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and go early in the morning. You will avoid crowds that way, and by 10 am it gets pretty hot on the trail. When you reach the top, soak in the views, catch your breath, and when you get back to the bottom treat yourself to some great food... More

Great hike with a view of Waikiki. Go early as it gets hot as the day goes on. I went early in the morning and the trail was still busy. The views are definitely worth the stairs and the cave. Walk with a drink if you get dehydrated early. If you have an empty container, there are water fountains at... More

I don't go hiking very often, but managed to reach the summit for he rewarding views. Take cold water with you! It is extremely hot and dry and a rather tough hike, at times steep. I had to step aside from the narrow trail and rest several times. When we arrived at the top, we found a bit of history,... More

Take plenty of water with you ( I would suggest at least 2 bottles per person) and go early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The parks parking lot gets full quickly and the trail leading up to the summit gets crowded quickly. The view is awesome and well worth the trip up to the top. Took us about... More
