great view.

very challenging but short hike up to some great views. Make sure you are prepared with water, good shoes, the hiking basics. Nice from a distance looking at it also.

2nd time doing this hike! Wonderful hike with awesome views over Waikiki! Doesn't take too long, carpark can get busy though so definitely worth going early morning. Great photo opportunities at the top!

One of those "must do" activities. The walk is not too difficult - the heat was probably the hardest part, but so worth it when you reach the top! The view is fabulous and how often do you get to walk up an extinct volcano?! Would recommend doing it as early as you can to avoid the heat and crowds.

a good hike and cheap to get in, only $1 dollar if you walk in. Path to hike was a bit narrow in places so you had to wait sometimes to pass those hikers that were hiking up the steep slope in flip flops and wedge espadrilles ...no joke, that is what some folks were wearing! The views are worth... More

For the best views of all Waikiki and the Pacific Ocean climb the steps and trail of this extinct volcano and navy lookout point. Its not that difficult of a climb. You will see all the colors of the ocean from deep dark blues to sea foam green. It is truly breathtaking!!!

We walked to Diamond head from our hotel, the Waikiki Marriott. Once we arrived we took the path all the way to the top. There are many picturesque views along the way. We stopped several times to take pictures. At the top their is a steep stairs case to climb. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes for a... More

We walked around and into the crater - a round trip of 8 miles from the Coconut Waikiki Hotel - which with the heat was a bit much - and as such, we failed to make it up to the viewing point! However, we did go into the university where we could partake of their reasonable and very good cafe... More

The views from the top are worth every step. Bring a hat, sunscreen and water as there is very little shade on this hike.

This is a must do when you visit Waikiki. I have done many times and enjoy it each time as much as the last. Easy climb and the view is the reward. Fantastic view of the Waikiki area and beyond. Does get very busy but allow enough time for the crowds and enjoy

It is worth the climb up all those stairs as the view and photo opportunities are incredible. It's not the easiest of climbs but my mother managed to do and she is over 50 & not very fit. There was committed and crazy parents carrying their children up on their backs as it is not children friendly as there are... More
