It's a little strenuous, but the trail is mostly very flat and stairs on the uphill. It took us about 30 minutes. At about 8 am it was not real hot - much of the trail was still in shade. Very beautiful view. There were a lot of people hanging out at the top, but there are plenty of different... More

Don't be fooled. This is not an easy hike. There is no shade, so bring lots of water. The trail is very rocky. After walking through the tunnel, you can walk up about 100 stairs and more spiral stairs (and you have to duck or crawl through the bunker), or go around the other way. Choose the other way! There... More

It is mainly a upward hike. This hike is just stairs going to the view sight. It's a fun, easy hike for people who usually don't go hiking in the first place but it gives you a pretty view of Honolulu

I belive its a $1 per person or $5dollars to park the car inside the parking. There no restroom up in the peek so make sure u do whatever u have to do before u start ur hike. Bring plenty of water it tends to be very hot and although the wind helps a little the hike will make u... More

As everyone says, the hike isn't too bad, but you double the walking time if you don't get to park on top of the hill. We stopped by Leanords bakery to fuel up and that's probably why we missed out. Also, wear shoes- not flip flops! And small kids- I wouldn't do it. We saw lots of crying toddlers. Well... More

Went with my wife in Jan 2015. Got to the site at 10AM and walked to the top in 45 minutes and I am a bad walker. Was pretty exhilarating and met lots of nice tourists. 30 minutes to walk down and it was a good workout for sure. Great experience for both of us!

This is an amazing stretch of road with beautiful views on either side of the road. Diamond head crater on 1 side and the coastline on the other littered with some stunning houses too. Take a tour on a trolli bus so you get the narrated tour and explanation.... you can even learn some of the local language!!

This was our toughest walk, it was very hot and no breeze. But the views across the crater and Waikiki were worth it. It gets very busy, so get there reasonably early.

Got here early, glad we did as it was HOT and by 7am we had to wait about 15 minutes to get a parking space. Easy hike, but some uneven parts of the trail. Also includes a short tunnel, spiral staircase and a very long flight of stairs. But when you get to the top you have an amazing 360... More

Good uphill cardio walk with amazing views. Seeing the ocean and the city from this vantage point is worth whatever physical effort you have to make. Don't leave Honolulu without taking in this gem.
