While we were disappointed in our tour set up to hike the Diamond Head, we truly appreciated the magnificance of.the cater and strenuous trail. Do know that this is a serious and most demanding hike. It is NOT a stroll or nature tour...it is straight up the "mountain" hike! Be very prepared...plenty of water...prepare to be exhausted. Plan to be... More

Diamond Head really needs No Review. It is one of the number one tourist stops, I've taken visitors there twice. It is a easy hike to the top, and has great views, and amazing sunsets at the top.

We were lucky enough to have a backpack/carrier to carry our 1 year old in (it would be too difficult to expect a young child to make the climb), our 4 year old managed just fine though. The track is well maintained. The only toilets, drinking fountains are located at the start of the walk, so take your own drinking... More

Going up Abe around to get here was a great trip. No diamonds and no heads, just an incredible crater that is a great hike as well

Hike is only a mile, but the hill is steep enough that very tall stairways are at the top. Views are worth the climb with great views from a number of different vantage points.

This is a fantastic view but the climb up is not for the faint hearted. I suggest going early or late in the day it opens at 6am and closes at 6pm so give your self time for the climb and to enjoy the view

Don't be afraid of the "hike". It is up a grade, but there are plenty of places to stop and rest and the view is worth the trouble to get to the top. You do not have to be crazy fit to do this, just patient if you aren't. Just be sure you have sneakers or hiking shoes, plenty of... More

My family and I walked to the top of the crater. It was the most spectacular view. To make it to the top was a great sense of accomplishment, confidence and overall team building with the family. I recommend lots of sun-screen, water to drink and an umbrella for shade in some real hot spots. Tourists don't pour cold water... More

It took a lot to get to the top but once there it was worth every pain my body expieranced. The walk stars out ok but then it gets pretty steep and the heat doesnt help. But once on the summit and you see the battery/look out history comes around full time. Especially if you went to the Arizona first... More
