Although the hike is not that strenuous, if it is really hot it can be a little uncomfortable. So bring lots of water, good shoes (definitely no flip-flops) and take your time. If you are claustrophobic it is good to know that there is a long dark tunnel to go through towards the end. The views from the top are... More

There are so many breathtaking places on this island. If you're a hiker, this is a great way to spend your morning. About an hour up (depending on how fast you go) and the view at the top will leave you speechless!!

My friend and I hiked up diamond head, and it was really nice. The hike is easy in a sense, but when we reached the stairs, it was harder. Their very steep, and there are a lot of them. However, when we reached the top, it was breathtaking. We didn't want to leave so quickly, so we sat at the... More

We like this boutique hotel very much. It was quiet and removed from all the hub bubs but yet only walking distance away from everything! We have a full balcony with partial view of waikiki and a close up view of Diamond Head, and a park just across the street. Beautiful and very tasteful Southeast Asian (Bali) decors. Not much... This is an interesting hike which gives some great views of Wakiki. It's not a long hike (about 45 minutes to get up there) but does include some long sections of steep steps so is not for everyone. We did it on a hot day and two bottles of water each was not quite enough so come prepared. You can... More

This hike is a wonderful way to see the surrounding area and the vibrant blue ocean and only takes about an hour. You will be sweating so be prepared! Best to come before noon since the sun can get very strong.

Make sure you get there early to get a parking spot. The parking at the gate was limited. We ended up parking across the street from the park. It was a good 15-20min walk to the gate. It cost $1 to walk in and to drive in was 6 or $7.. It Is an easy walk to the top except... More

You get great views from the top of diamond head. You need to make the hike on a clear day to get the best views. It is also a good idea to do it in the morning before it gets too hot there is not any place to get out of the sun once you start the hike.
