The luau was filled with great dancers and good stories about the culture of the folk and the islands. Had preferred seating so couldnt miss a thing. Food was extremely good and they were most amenable to accomodating dietary needs. Drinks flowed all night and was an overall wonderful experience. Price is high but you got quality for the money... Having never attended a luau before, I can only say that our experience here was a great one! The food was pretty good, but we were really there for the show, and it did not disappoint. An incredible value and we will go again the next time we are on the island.

The Hale Koa is a military hotel right in Waikiki. They have their Luau every Monday and Thursday. It is a bit more subdued than some luaus, but the military theme sort of runs through it. The night we went they had the war vets stand, the services and thanked everyone for their service. I thought that was nice as... More

This is a good luau right on the Hale Koa property. No busses, no traffic, just a great time to be had by the whole family within a few minutes walk of your room if you are staying at the Hale Koa, and not much further if you are staying elsewhere in Waikiki. Adjacent to Fort Derussy Park and the... More

Went with family including kids. There is a buffet with table service for cocktails or other drinks. Food is pretty good. The entertainment is good. It is nice to experience the dances of island people and the music is good. It is no better than other luaus but if you are staying in Waikiki, it is a convenient one to... More

Be advised that every seat is not the same at the luau. If the online reservation system shows you a table assignment above 50 or so you very well may not see anything of the show. We were at table 78. There were tables on the same level as ours between us and the stage so there were many heads... More

This was a fantastic experience! We were offered a traditional Mai Tai or an alcohol free version as we walked into the welcoming garden. Then we were treated to several interactive stations that included getting a traditional tattoo, a headband made of coconut tree leaves, pictures with the dancers and live music as we sat on mats. The pre-show included... More

I had a fun time here with my family looking for a traditional Hawaiian Luau. The show was cute and the food was fine. The show was a little cheesy, but that is sort of what we were looking for. We tried the poi, it was bland and weird, but we had to try it once.

My family enjoyed the activities and show. Dinner was okay and filling. I personally thought most of the show was a bit cheesy especially the emcee. Dancers were awesome and athletic. I would return with family again if we come back.

I was there Did not enjoy the Food (near uneatable) and surely did not enjoy some of the program. (have not been so insulted since I got back from Combat). The best part of the show was the 8 year old fire dancer. Being in a mobility scooter I was seated right at the back and could not see what... More
