Great Historic Site

This is a great way to show our kids about the history hands-on. Plenty to see and do for the most of the day.

My husband and I went to the Pearl Harbor on our first time to Oahu. It was great to see everything up close and kinda fell a lil bit about what happened back in 1941. the museum really bring things to life with movies, bombs, sounds, uniforms, equipment and etc... great experience! we visited in Sept 2011

We did the complete one day tour of the harbour. Everything is a highlight The USS Bowfin submarine is a faboulous experience, not one for the claustrophobic though. The USS Arizona memorial is surreal and heart touching. The USS Missouri is a grand ship and a very great experience, fantastic to stand on the spot where world war two was... More

Our first stop in hawaii. Great experience!! The is a must see for everyone young and old. We took a family trip here with 3 adults and 3 kids ages 10, 10 and 6. Our son had a blast and remembers alot. Make sure to purchase the headsets, makes it easier to learn about that dreadful day Dec 7th 1941.

Its a very popular attraction and it can be very crowded. If you book throught one of the tour companies you bypass the need to line up for tickets but the downside is that you are on a timetable that will make it impossible for you to take in all this location has to offer. If you do decide to... More

This is the Highlight of our visit to this island. Arrive early before all the crowds get there to get the most out of your time here. It's amazing and heartbreaking at the same time.

Definitely a must-see if you are visiting Honolulu. Make sure to phone in advance - sometimes they have to cancel the boat to the USS Arizona Memorial because of high winds.

On a recent cruise to Hawaii we visited Pearl Harbor. The movie that was part of the tour was very informative and allowed you to visualize the scene better. The trip to the Arizona was rather uneventful as you can not get a full perspective of the ship itself as you need to be much higher to fully see the... More

I very much liked the simple, extremely accesible museums that looked back on our prewar history of Japan and explained some of the politics behind the attack, and then the museum of the attack. It sent me back to the history books. The trip to the Arizona was less interesting, but a good place to say a prayer for all... More
