Prior to visiting the site of the attack that launched the US into WWII, you enter a small auditorium to watch a film about Pearl Harbor before boarding the boat that takes you out to visit the site of the USS Arizona where more than 1,000 servicemen are buried. The mood in the auditorium chances drastically from the start of... More

Spent a full day seeing the Arizona, Missouri, Bowfin, Pumch Bowl, Honululu City Sites, and Pacific Aviation museum. We did this through a tour company so we also heard a lot of history while going to the different sites. Discovery Tour guide was funny and informative. The only comment is that it was difficult to see features pointed out at... More

The movie they show is amazing, including footage from the Japanese as to how they were preparing for the attack. It should be shown in at least one history class in every intermediate or high school. Great book store. There was a book signing and I also spoke with a gentleman who was assigned to the USS Arizona but had... More

A very moving experience. Seeing the ship below you knowing those poor sailors are there is touching & shocking at the same time.

So many have mentioned before about this sobering experience ....it is worth the trip but our group of 4 felt very rushed and pushed for time especially on the Arizona memorial . We all had the audio tour to further enhance the experience ($7:50) which is very well done . Despite starting it on the boat trip out we couldn't... More

I have been to the Pearl Harbor Memorial many times and completely enjoy each visit, however I must say attending my sons Navy re-enlistment ceremony there was awesome! As you pass thru the land portion of the memorial there is a movie that you watch to give you some feeling of what it was like that horrible day in history.... More

The visit to Pearl Harbor is a must for everyone. For quiet reflection and remembrance for those who know something of history, and for those who don't, a chance to learn about such an important place and moment in time. Go early and don't rush. In total we spent about 3 hours, and probably could have spent more time.

This was a history lesson that most of us know - but actually seeing the Arizona first hand is something else. An emotional experience that you won't forget. A must see!
