Pear Harbor and the Arizona Memorial is a very reverent place, so many lost their lives here form both sides. On a quite sunday morning 68 yrs ago, horror broke out in moments. Distruction took place in fleeting moments and people were dead or injured all around you. This is a memorial in which one learns so much about our past... more

I visit this memorial every time I go to Oahu. But be warned if you are traveling with people who have trouble walking: the ticket area and such are under construction. They are building a new center. This is great, however, you have to walk all the way over to the Bowfin to get your tickets then walk all the... more

Pearl Harbor is a must see. There are free tickets to USS Arizona on first come first serve basis for each time slot. You wont need the tours, audio or otherwise, unless English is not your native language. Make sure to enter it into any rental car GPS as "USS Arizona", and not Pearl Harbor . . . otherwise you'll... more

Pearl harbor was the one thing I HAD to do in Oahu and it was incredible. The experience of actually being at the Arizona Memorial and seeing the 'black tears' was amazing and humbling. The only down side to the tour was the tour itself. We signed up at our hotel with Polynesian Adventures and wouldn't do it again. After... more

It was our first time to the memorial. I was quite suprised at how quiet and respectful everyone was. If you haven't been, it really brings into light what happened at the harbor, and what could have possibly been done to neautralize the attack. They are beginning a remodeling of the memorial that should make the experience that much more... more

Found that this was a very interesting day trip. The memorial in itself is quite humbling to see and review. Found the USS Missouri just so fascinating, to see how these men spent their everyday life on this massive ship - yet in for the most part in very tight quarters to say the least. The avaition museum was quite... more

We spent a day at the attractions around Pearl Harbor including the USS Arizona, the USS Missouri, the USS Bowfin and the new Pacific Aviation Museum. We paid for the $37 tickets (per person) which include ALL of the sights and it was worth it. Right now, the park is remodeling and you follow the signs to buy your tickets... more

Wow. I don't think I was prepared for how humbling and overwhelming this memorial would be. It is definitely a cemetary, and not in a bad way. A very somber and respectful attitude is needed at this memorial. I was surprised by how run down some of the facilities were. Especially in the movie area when you first arrive. And... more

If you go to Hawaii, this is one of those must see things. You may have to wait about 90 min or so to get on a tour, which consists of a movie followed by the oat ride to the memorial itself. Recommend checking in to get a ticket for the tour and going to the nearby USS Missouri. more

The first place of significant interest that we went to in Honolulu was Pearl Harbor. Our tour bus left our hotel in Waikiki at about 630 am. Despite that, when we got to the Memorial, we were already in the 9 am group. We spent the waiting time going around the Museum where they had very interesting displays, scale models... more
