It was bigger than I thought it would be and not overly crowded. While there are no table games there are plenty of slot machines. They have a smoking and a non smoking section that are separated well enough that you don't get the smell of any cigarettes in the non smoking area.

After spending some time in the casino, decided to have a meal in the Grand Grille.Asked the waitress if the baked cod was fresh or frozen ? Answer, at some time it probably was frozen. She was right. It tasted like it was frozen more than once. Tasteless, spongy, hot in some areas, cold in others. Waitress reported this to... More

Casino itself is small with mostly older slots. Smoke free half of place is definitely better. Biggest surprise? The Grande Grille on bottom level. We (3 of us) couldn't understand why it was busy at 3.p.m. on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Sat at bar just for quick drinks. As food passed us by we kept saying, "Wow...look at that." We... More

went to Newport Grand this week with hubby after having a lovely lunch in Newport. Needed to kill some time and it was unbearably hot, so we felt it was a good break from the heat. It is dimly lit and not very well ventilated inside. There were some new games and lots of older games, but people seemed to... More

Walked out within 30 mins due to respiratory reaction. Compared to Vegas, Mohegan, Foxwoods, the stench of smoke was pervasive and quite prominent. This visit was a waste of limited precious travel time for recreation, especially for our spouses who were fortunate enough to join us in this extensive business trip.

Visited this Casino in April of this year. I had not been there in several years. I found the casino areas to be better lit and had numerous newer machines that previously. Was an improvement.

This place stinks of cigarette smoke, and will be moving out of the City in 2016. Very tired venue with little entertainment value if you are not a slots fanatic.

We go to this casino when we're in town. We don't go up the escalator to the smoking room because the smoke is thick up there and the bathrooms aren't the greatest. Stay on the main level where the slots are newer and the air is cleaner. Plus the Grande Grill Restaurant has the best bacon cheeseburgers around at a... More
