America's Cup Charters is Newport, RI's premier sailing company chartering the legends of the America's Cup trophy. We’ve been chartering the America's Cup legends since 1986. We also offer daily ticketed sails for individuals. Our fleet includes the illustrious Intrepid - the two time winner of the coveted America's Cup trophy, Weatherly - winner of the America's Cup and also one of the few yachts listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ted Hood's infamous Nefertiti, and former ocean racer Ted Turner's champion and America's Cup contender American Eagle. Race, train, or just relax aboard the legendary 70' long 12-Meter Class yachts. This can be an interactive hands-on experience, no sailing experience necessary, or a casual relaxing sail. Each yacht has a captain and two crew members on board to interact with our guests. We give people the chance to feel what it's like to be part of an America's Cup experience. The protected waters and predictable breezes of Narragansett Bay make for a comfortable racing and cruising experience.

Our team had a great experience! Julie was very helpful, organized a terrific crew. The Nefertiti is a very well maintained boat with plenty of room. Our crew got us right in close to the International 12 Meter Races. Terrific!

Sailing on a 12 meter boat, is simply something that should be done when visiting Newport!!! Just make sure the weather prediction is good, meaning - no "pea soup" fog.

We did a match race - American eagle vs. Weatherly. We - Weatherly won 2 to one. Being on such a historic boat and be able to sail in the sea around Newport was so great. Went with two teenagers and that worked out well. Thanks to George and the staff

Went out for the evening sail with Americas Cup Charters aboard the Intrepid. Not a sailor, but it was very enjoyable being aboard these racing yachts. When sailing aboard our Daily Ticketed Sails, we try to make sure that all on board have an enjoyable experience. Most guests would prefer not to sail in the open ocean where the sea can get a bit rough. We chartered 2 - 12 meter sailboats and raced against each other. The crew teaches you what to do and if you'd rather not do anything you don't have to. Great team-building activity. You're in the bay so you don't have waves like in the ocean.
