I spend a day in May wondering around Newport for the first time in over 40 years since I left Newport. Bowen's Wharf and Bannister's Wharf are side by side. Delightful places to poke around with excellent shops and restaurants. Some restored/adapted old buildings and the new buildings fit in with the "rustic/weathered' look of shingles and clapboard. A 1000%... More

Bannister's Wharf and Bowen's Wharf are side by side and both have nice restaurants, shops, and views of the harbor. Dining, shopping and just relaxing are all here. Definitely worth a visit while in town.

We happened to have gone to Newport at the right time this weekend. It was a last minute thing and we were wondering why we hit some traffic! How lucky were we. It was the Seafood Festival and was a great time to go. We were able to get parking in one of the public lots so that wasn't a... More

Absolutely loved the shops at Bowne's Wharf. And 22 Bowen's Restaurant was fabulous! We wandered around for a couple of hours enjoying everything about the whole Wharf experience.

The harbor cruise was a very nice way to see some sights and get some corky fun facts. My teenage daughter enjoyed it as well as her grandmother.

This place has it all. It is great if you plan for a quick stop in Newport. Right on the water it has great atmosphere. You can branch out from here but you don't need to.

Loved the shops that lined the wharf. The Black Dog shop was cute and fun. I bought my little poodle some peanut butter doggie biscuits there. Several restaurants are located here as well.

My family and I love this event. We attended for the second time this year and it's just lovely. All of the restaurants and bars have tents where you can purchase new england clam chowders, lobster bisque, fish tacos, craft beer, wine, desserts, lobster, shrimp, etc. Reasonable prices... and the live music was wonderful- especially the band who played the...
