Bowen's wharf had a huge selection of restaurants and shops at various price points. It was full of energy and activity. It was a quaint location that included activities for visitors of all ages. There was also access to boat tours, rentals, etc. There was even dancing for the young at heart. Many places to eat all types of food... More

Fun place to wander. Was happy to be back in time, and seeing how the repurposing of history has been preserved. Loved the boats in the wharf going out to sea.

The only word to describe Bowens Wharf during the Summer is 'bustling', There are great restaurants and boutique shops to wonder through. Access to sunset cruises etc. Can get very busy but worth a visit when in town.Try Diegos for Mexican, the Wharf Pub for gourmet tater tots and the Black Pearl for seafood chowder.

we enjoyed the cobblestoned area with many outside restaurants to sit enjoy view of the boats and the water. At the end of the Wharf there is a fish market with huge lobsters that can be viewed in the holding tanks. They recently converted this working fish market into a restaurant with tables that over look the water.

Some great little places here, some live music in the outside bar and higher end restaurants. Can get very busy though especially at weekend

Love this area…great location...great shopping...Black Pearl Restaurant...Adirondack II sailing excursions… This Wharf area is a great place to experience Newport. It has a central location convenient to the heart of the city. Besides what I have mentioned above…the smoothie bar centrally located provides a refreshing snack. Also try the Cookie Jar for fantastic chicken salad sandwiches and of course great... More

We dined on the dock front restaurants twice in one afternoon and evening. Great Lobster, Great Clam Chowder, yummy deserts, all in front of a great view in a harbor full of activity and sailboats coming and going.
