"Make your own" hand blown glass ornament or paperweight with lots of help from a skilled glassblower (the glass you make takes 2 days to cool, so you can come back, or arrange for us to ship it to you). Give us a call to schedule a glassblowing experience or come on in and see what is available. We have beautiful hand blown glass gifts for moms, weddings, dads, and grads, made here in our studio on the premises. There is no charge to watch the glassblowing. See you soon!

beautiful shop, you can actually make a paperweight in the glass blowing area and they will send the finished product to you. I love the snowmen- they are unique and exclusive to Thames. Every time I am in Newport I try to add to my collection and since they also ship the perfect gift for my family to get me... More

This a small shop with very interesting glass art for sale and I think classes in glass making which we did not attend. It's a bit off the beaten path from the other Newport shops but has more character than most of them. Most of the sale items are not cheap but the quality is high.

I am pretty shocked at the high reviews here. I have a handful of nice glass pieces at home, and this stuff looks like common colored glass you would find in Home Goods. It has no creativity or unique features like you would get from a famous artist such as Chihuly nor is it very thick or elegant like the... More

I'm a big fan of glass art and loved this place, very friendly staff and beautiful pieces - one of which now has pride of place at home alongside similar pieces by Lithuanian and Czech artists. I even bought my mum a souvenir from here and sent it back to Australia!

beautiful blown glass. I went there to check it out, ended up buying many Christmas gifts! They also have a window in the gift shop where you can watch them blow glass, and even let you make your own glass piece (for an extra cost).

My husband and I came here to make ornaments or our Christmas tree. You have to call to setup a time to go, they had a lot of options so that wasn't an issue. Once you arrive they don't waste any time getting you setup and making your very own glass blown ornament! For the ornament you get to choose... More

I have been coming to Newport now for over 30 years and the first place I always go to is Thames Glass to see what's new. I am a huge glass collector and just love everything in this store, from the glass miniatures, ornaments, dragons, mermaids, snowmen, candy and glass vegetables. I love their glass jewelry also.

Prior to visiting the Newport area I did a little homework. This was something on the list and I made an appointment to blow glass the day after we arrived. If you choose to participate in a glass blowing class the item that you make needs two days to cure so planning in advance is important or you must have... More
