Yesterday my husband and I decided at the last minute to extend lunch in Newport to overnight in Newport. Being in Newport, we then decided if we could find a sailboat tour we would take it. My husband looked online and found Newport Sailing School and Tours, so we drove over to Goat Island to check it out. The boat... More

Prior to coming to Newport to attend a 2-week course at the Naval Station, I researched various sailing schools in Newport that offered sailing lessons over the weekend I was going to be here. I stumbled upon Newport Sailing School and Tours (NSST) and was initially impressed by its affordability, favorable reviews, and the fact that they had a course... More

To be in Newport and not go out on a sailboat more or less defeats the purpose of visiting Newport. I prefer smaller sailboats as you get a much better feel for the whole thing. So.. we were in Newport and the people Visitor's Center recommended these guys. It is a small place - it looks like they have two... More

I wanted my wife to have this experience because we always take the big sail boat trips with 15 to 30 people on them. I don't really consider those big boats sailing but more of a tourist activity sail. I wanted her to know what it feels like to sail a boat that holds 4 to 8 people and you... More

On Saturday night, we chartered 2 boats for my twin daughters birthday party so they could take their friends for a cruse. They absolutely loved it. Mike, the owner and Dylan sailed the girls around and gave them a tour of the harbor. We sent them with sparkling sider and munchies and were wonderfully treated by Mike and Dylan as... More

I have no idea what the previous review was complaining about, we had a great experience, start to finish. My husband and I often go to Newport, but wanted to do something different, so we found this school's website online and called to sign up for a class. The man who represents the school, Mike, was very helpful. He explained... More

Don't even think of the tour unless you like being harranged and bullied about religion, slavery, politics etc. by a real life Archie Bunker who has half his facts wrong but doesn't let that get in the way of his tirade. He was so busy bullying us (at one point we even had to ask him to stop shouting) we... More
