What a great experience! Everyone at 12 Meter Charters is fantastic, from Meredith who books your trip to the fun, knowledgeable crew. The 12M yachts are incredible! Can't wait to go back to Newport and sail on Columbia again! Thanks y'all!!

We booked a 2 hour afternoon cruise with 12 Meters charter and what a wonderful afternoon it was. We set sail aboard The Heritage, the last wooden boat to sail in America’s Cup. The crew was wonderfully engaging and had a vast knowledge of the boat, America’s Cup race and Newport. You can be as involved as you want. The... More

I saw my first 12 meter sailboat in the early 1960's as a young boy in Newport and had always wanted to sail on one of these sleek racers. This year, I learned my wife of 25 years, and a native of Newport, also had always wanted to sail on a 12 meter. We sailed on Columbia this September on... More

Had Capt. Gus and 3 crew who worked well with we guests. I was aboard Heritage for the 3 hour "race" against Columbia. Two beautiful boats. Gus got everybody involved, and with the crew there was a real camaraderie. I ended up having a blast with the deck crew, found out one guy had a Lightning, my grinder partner is... More

Let's set proper expectations. You will be sailing on a former America's Cup boat. Remember that the boat was built for speed and not for a leisurely, comfortable cruise. There's one seat behind the wheel, but most of the time, you will be sitting on your bottom on the deck. I think some of the ladies on my cruise were... More

Boat was in excellent form, crew was very friendly and engaged with those on board. Booking was simple through the Attwater hotel and everything was on time and beyond expectations. Highly recommend!

We went on Nefertiti on a very breezy day, the breezier the better. Great crew, boat and views. You get to help raise the sails and steer, sorry sailors I don't know the technical terms.

This company provides sail charters Columbia and Heritage; we sailed Heritage, a 1970 12-meter yacht. We chose this over a more sedate (and perhaps a bit less expensive) schooner cruise, and weren't disappointed. There were 3 crew and 16 passengers on board, with room in the cockpit for maybe 6?, 2-3 more on the afterdeck, and the remainder on the... More

We chartered two boats in connection with a corporate meeting. The crews of the boats were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We were able to "work" the equipment on the racing yachts, giving us all a great experience.
