I am so thankful that I had googled things to do in Newport for over the Labor Day Weekend! The Bit Players at the Firehouse Theater was an absolute gem of a find. The cost was only $15/pp and the show ran about 1:45. It is BYOB so bring whatever you like to drink but if you run out there... More

We had heard good things about the bit players, and were pleased when the show exceeded our expectations. Low key, BYOB & BYOF (basically bring any drinks and food you wish to consume); one group brought in a picnic dinner. Show starts on time and moves at an excellent pace. We enjoyed the first show enough that we stayed for... More

Around New Years, we went to a children's comedy show at the firehouse theater. I have to say, it actually was very funny! A friend of my mother took her kids to see it, and they loved it! We had to try it out. There was free hot chocolate during the show. Overall, it was very cute!

Great little comedy club staffed by a talented troupe of improv comedians. Very funny and entertaining! BYOB so bring some bottles, kick back and enjoy the show. A great way to spend the evening.

We really enjoyed the show. The Firehouse is cozy. We saw the improvisation comedy troupe. They were clever and made it work. The four of us all enjoyed it. This is one of the better activities have done in a couple of visits to Newport.

After first seeing the Bit Players a few years ago, the Firehouse Theater has become a must on our Newport trips. The shows are always quirky yet always different and always deliver great fun and entertainment. If you love Improv, then don't miss this show! Reservations are recommended, especially on the weekends (our show was sold out.) You pay right... More

There are many types of humor that strikes each individual differently but seldom is it all presented in one humor pie. This group combines slap-stick with intelligent and practiced quick wit, a touch of snark and always that pinch of truth that makes you think. This troupe is clever and offers a night out that delivers! They are not to... More

Great improv show that held our interest for a 10pm show without intermission and after dinner. Highly participatory, entertaining, hilarious, and fun. Great night out and convenient to downtown.
