This place is BYOB and very casual. It is in an old firehouse and it still looks like they could put out fires. We went on a Monday " Locals " night and the place was about half full. These people we just plain funny all improve and keep us laughing the whole show. Well worth the admission charge.

We go to Newport for summer vacation and also many weekend trips through out the year. We never miss a Bit Players show at the Firehouse Theater while there. These folks are the real deal. If you aren't laughing then something is wrong with you. Of all the shows we've seen there, (and there have been many) it's a totally... More

Took my two kids here (9-12) and thought it was mostly for them. I truly laughed so hard my eyes were watering. We left uplifted and inspired. Absolutely great evening out & what a reasonable price. If we could go again tomorrow, we would! Looking forward to finding a sitter and bringing the hubby to see the grownup Bit Players!

My family and I spend our summers in Newport, and every weekend we go see the Firehouse improv show. It's always so funny, and everyone has a great time! All the actors are clever and hilarious, especially Clayton! I recommend the show to anyone who visits Newport.

Whether you are visiting or local, this theater is a diamond in the rough. Literally 20 ft. off Broadway in Newport, our group had many many laughs and a wonderful time watching the Bit Players. Monday night they offer FREE BEER! You can BYOB too. Great local theater with tons of belly laughs. A must for all.

We spent the Friday night of our vacation at the Firehouse Theater and enjoyed fantastic comedy. I kept thinking I was watching "Whose Line Is It Anyways" Live. Thank you Vlad and crew for a hilarious evening!

Parking can be tight, but there is a city park right across the street, and we managed to find something along the side of it. We came for the second show, and it doesn't look like anyone tried to clean the place between shows. The first show did seem to run overtime, and the deficit was made up in shortening... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We try to keep the time between shows as minimal as we can since we have some audience members who come to see more than one performance on any given night. Because of this it does make it hard for us to get the theater cleaned between shows.... More

This was the best $18 we spent in Newport! They've switched to an on line ticket purchase which went dead THREE times after I entered all my info...I said I'd give it one more shot and it finally booked my tickets on the fourth try. So for ease of ticket purchase I'll give it no stars. But after that your... More

Thank you for the positive review and for bearing with our online ticketing as we work out the kinks. We just switched to this new system to make it easier for guests to purchase tickets in advance and get into the show much easier on the night of performances. We are so happy you enjoyed the performance. Sorry the show... More

A great time with a fun cast! It was my mother's birthday and they called her up, but went easy on her and ended up being the highlight of our trip. The BYOB aspect is fun and well catered to with cups and wine keys available. Don't miss this. It's a fun bang for your buck and something different.

I was walking by and saw people entering the building and remembered that friends who had been there had a fantastic evening. The group is very talented and the interaction with the audience is spot on. Laughter truly is the best medicine. If you have a problem with swearing, I would not recommend it.
