A sprawling park along the water not far from downtown Newport. There is a nice gazebo where concerts and events are often held. The statue of Rochambeau is nifty and supposedly points at Yorktown, the end of the Revolution. There are also good fields for activities here and lots of space for picnicking.

This park gives you very pretty views and is worth a peek. Easy to get to and can spend some quality down time at this park if you like.

off away from hustle and bustle of the wharfs of Thames street is King Park. Free parking , benches in the shade, a million dollar view of the Harbor and the bridge to Jamestown. Lovely spot to calm down and get ones bearing before heading back into town
