A wonderful place to watch the ocean.

A peaceful place to watch the boats and commune with nature. So happy to know it's a place where my friends love to go regularly.

it is just a short way from the hustle of downtown but it is a great place to see the harbor from a different view. nice grass and benches provide a great place to just sit and reflect. bring a picnic and have a really nice time just relaxing. Kids will like that they have a few fields to run... More

This was a great place to walk from the busier parts of Newport. Only a few minutes away. It was a quiet walk with a wonderful view of the harbor and plenty of benches to sit peacefully on together. Great place to watch the sunset, and we got to catch a local little league game.

Hadn't been back to Newport in decades. Did a week in May with my sister for my 50th prep school reunion. We parked down a King Park and enjoyed the view comparing memories with the present day. Gone is the stinky old gas works and the entire water front of Old Newport looks great. Looking forward to things like the... More

A sprawling park along the water not far from downtown Newport. There is a nice gazebo where concerts and events are often held. The statue of Rochambeau is nifty and supposedly points at Yorktown, the end of the Revolution. There are also good fields for activities here and lots of space for picnicking.

My husband and I have been coming to Newport every summer since 2004... We especially love coming here around Independence Day, during the height of summer. Normally we watch the fireworks down by waterfront piers but last summer we opted for a different view. King's Park was crowded (as is ALL of Newport in the summer), but we managed to... More

This park gives you very pretty views and is worth a peek. Easy to get to and can spend some quality down time at this park if you like.

off away from hustle and bustle of the wharfs of Thames street is King Park. Free parking , benches in the shade, a million dollar view of the Harbor and the bridge to Jamestown. Lovely spot to calm down and get ones bearing before heading back into town
