We live down the road and this place is great. Traffic is terrible and parking is horrendous in the summer, but once you're there, you're set. Ride your bike if you can. There are bathrooms and food vendors in the summer. You can even take your dog after hours and in the winter. It does get windy during the cold... More

Only strolled along the beach. It was clear of litter and pleasant to walk on. Parking was free, apparently this is the case after Labour Day (not sure when that is coming from the uk as I do. Sometime in Sept?) I have read other reviews mentioning the smell of the beach but while I was here there was no... More

The views are spectacular. The rushing tide is a sight to behold. I recommend Eastern Beach for walks or just basking in the beauty. Put it on your must see list

Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, parking is free. The beach was very clean and the water was warm. When leaving the beach we didn't see any place to wash off. There is a snack bar but I can't comment on that since we didn't eat there. Enjoy your day at the beach!

The concession at Easton's Beach serves the best tasting lobster rolls in Newport! At 2 for $12, they may seem a little skimpy, but compared to the $20 versions served elsewhere all you need to do is combine them and you are all set! You can sit beachside and have a great view too.

Seriously. We hit this beach on the way out of town specifically for the lobster rolls. If you are looking for a very casual food stand and lobster rolls, this is the place. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday and found easy, free, close parking (the attendant knew we were only there for lunch) and found a table at... More

What I'm writing is actually valid for the 3 beaches around Newport. It is easy to park there (10$ a day flat fee), the beach is big, not too crowded and clean and (very important especially with children) the restrooms are clean! In addition, on Easton's beach, you can find Newport's aquarium and lots of food and drink. If you... More

Prior to check-in, we interested in the inexpensive "twin lobster roll", but chose not to pay beach parking lot (despite reduced fee w/ validated receipt); plus, no available meters that would include twice the walk. We ended up a couple of miles up the road at Anthony's Seafood...yum!

We have been coming here for 5 years each summer but are now concerned with the water at the beach. I don't know if the red seaweed and smell is in anyway hazardous but am now concerned enough to look for a different summer vacation destination. It is a shame because we truly loved coming to Rhode Island Easton Beach.
