We took our time and drove the Ocean Drive, which is as you might think, a road along the shore. There are beautiful ocean views, there are intriguing and beautiful homes to view. Very relaxing drive. I highly recommend it as the sun begins to set.

One of my favorite things to do in Newport is Ocean Drive at sunset. It is absolutely breathtaking! I love that the speed limit never exceeds 30 mph, its gives you a chance to really enjoy the views and beautiful homes. Do watch out for bikers and walkers, as there are quite a few. I highly recommend stopping at Breton... More

For some of the drive, the ocean was not visible but many of the estates were. Ocean views were great. It was well worth the drive.

LOVED, this drive amongst the mansions that opens up to a twisting, curving ocean view road! There are many awesome spots to pull your car over and take photos as well as beaches (must pay). There is a park at the end that is FREE and we saw tons of people flying kites and haging out. We will definately head... More

This area is under rated. Visit Fort Adams and spend part of the day enjoying the state park and picturesque sail boats.

About 20 minutes, it was not as scenic as expected. Worth the time if you have an extra 20 minutes, it's something that can be skipped. Much of the drive is blocked by tall grass and fences.

It's rare to see this scenery. Not only is the view of the cliffs and oceans beautiful, but the homes are works of art.

The best way to enjoy Ocean Drive in my opinion is to park at Fort Adams State Park, and bike the rest of the way. Parking is free plus there's the Bay Path which goes around the park before you can exit onto Ocean Drive. My wife is not much of a biker, but she had no problem doing this,... More

A must see for any visitor coming to Newport. Beautiful homes with the ocean as their backdrop. I never get tired of this drive.
