Amazing tour

We have done the tunnel rat tour and it is fantastic and the history is eye opening. Take the tour - learn our history - can't wait to return in the Fall!

Took the guided tour of this forty yesterday. Definitely worth doing the guided tour to be able to see the underground tunnels. Would have been nice to see more of the tunnels. Also keep in mind much of the fort is still under renovation. Staff very friendly

It was the time of departure of nautical race of the Volvo, and there were many people on site to take advantage of the day promised to be fun. The diversity of boats, new Volvo cars on display, included one that you cand drive with your cellphone, and the whole place gave me good family moments. The fort is really... More

Any time that I have visited the Fort, there has been an event or a tour. Sometimes the boats are practicing for a regatta. There is a great tour if you are interested. It is a good stop when you are in the area. You will see….

Take the guided tour. Our tour lasted about 75 minutes without being rushed. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Beautiful views of Newport and the harbor. Interesting views of the interior of the fort.

The park is great to learn the history of newport and it's role during war time. Park to play, beaches, sail boats to rent. There are usually events most weekends.

The guided tour was excellent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tour was a little over an hour in length. Wonderful water views of the bay. Regretably, the fort was not open to the public unless you pay for the tour. This fort is very large, probably larger than any other fort you may have ever visited. We arrived... More

Fort Adams is a huge old fort. You can do a self led tour, but I recommend taking the guided tour as they can give you so much more detail. You are able to walk to the top of the high stone wall (the stairs are very steep, you can skip if need be) and look out over the water... More
