In late July, 2013 my wife and I took a launch tour of the Buffalo River. It lasted nearly two hours. The launch was comfortable seating about a dozen persons. What struck me most about the tour was how informative it was. The operator explained the 19th C history of activities on the river tying it to the operation of... More

Buffalo Harbor Cruises supported a join party between the Military Officers Association of Western New York and the Royal Niagara Military Institute. Overall, all 65 members who came on the trip really enjoyed themselves. The narrated historical tour and the lighthouse buffet was outstanding in every way and I encourage others more to take advantage of this opportunity.

We brought some out of town visitors on one of these tours and it was a huge disappointment. The tour guides looked bored at best and actually gave inaccurate information on the city. They looked like hungover college students who didn't bother to learn the history they were presenting. Moreover, you cannot go on the river when the weather is... More

We went on a War of 1812 cruise and really enjoyed the trip. The guides were knowledgeable and the sights were really beautiful. It's a wonderful vantage point to see downtown and other points. We even experienced a canal lock in operation during our trip. It's a great way to spend a nice day on the Buffalo waterfront.

I was really excited to go on this trip based on what I had heard from others. I chose a beautiful day but didn't know that a windy day means you don't go on to the lake. We had to hug the shoreline and that means passing the sewage treatment plant twice. It was really unpleasant and what we saw... More

A great way to spend a couple of hours cruising around the harbor, lake Erie and the canal. An informative journey pointing out all the sites and stories of the Buffalo marina and surrounding area whilst chugging along on Miss Buffalo. Worth the money.

I have lived in Buffalo many years and one of my go-to activities for my children is to take them on a harbor cruise. It's only 2 hours long and my kids love being outside, on a boat, and trying to watch for any wildlife they may see along the way. The cruise has so much information and the sights... More

I went on the Miss Buffalo with my 3 year old son and my senior mom. It was a beautifully narrated trip and the scenery was really awesome. I learned a lot about the city I grew up in (though I do not live there now), seeing the history of the Erie Canal, learning about the waters that meet around... More

We recently (August 2009) took my husband's parents on the 12:30 pm cruise of the Miss Buffalo II. While the cruise in and of itself was very interesting (which is why I have chosen to say I would recommend) it was sometimes hard to hear and stay focused on the guide speaking on the intercom. There were numerous children, many... More

We had one day to spend in Buffalo on the way to Toronto and it was obvious that there would be rain all day. We already had reservations for an afternoon cruise on the Miss Buffalo so with $2 plastic ponchos in hand we set out. The boat was half enclosed and the outer decks had a good overhang so... More
