Great area to relax with some fabulous street food while running from seagulls. That's not a negative. I wanted the whole outdoor experience, and I got it at the Marina.

Our latest visit to the Erie Basin Marina was in May during the Heritage Centers' 5K Walk/Run where the halfway point was the new Buffalo Lighthouse. We have, in the past, visited the Marina many times to walk, board the Miss Buffalo, grab a bit to eat at The Hatch, or just watch a glorious sunset over Lake Erie. It... More

Had a great afternoon at the Erie Basin Marina last week. Gorgeous day to get away and cool the jets of your busy day. Strolled around, watched the sailboats sailing by on the calm and warm lake day on the river. Really relieves the stresses of the day just to sit back, relax and watch the slow sails going by... This is hands-down, my favorite spot to visit in Buffalo during the summer months. It's a wonderful place to walk or sit and relax on the water regardless if you have a boat or not. Climb up the look out tower at the end of the road and you'll have a spectacular 360deg view of the city of Buffalo, Canada... More

Nice marina/park, in downtown Buffalo, with an observation tower at the end of it. Lots of people can be seen walking on the wall, enjoying the views of Lake Erie. The kids love climbing up the stairs to get a better view from the tower. If you head the other way you can enjoy the gardens that are located along... More

I've been a local since 1987 and I am so excited about the changes in the waterfront! There are lots of nice open spaces and seating to relax and enjoy the sunset or just a beautiful day. I've been to the naval park and always enjoy. There is now a restaurant/bar with a patio and every time I go (although... More

Not far from bustling downtown Buffalo is this attractive waterfront area. We watched a catamaran cruise departing while we strolled the waterside walkway. There were plenty of others like us finding a good vantage point to watch the sunset over the lake. Occasional passing sailboats and the nearby lighthouse also make for some scenic photos.

If you're visiting Buffalo be sure to make it down to the Erie Basin Marina. There's sand for the kds, comfortable chairs for the grown-ups, food and beverages available. You may see tall ships or a classic car show. Navy ships are docked and open for tours. During the summer months be sure and check out the concert schedule.

Spent a lovely Saturday at the Marina with family. Enjoyed the water taxi ride and the opening of the light house. Having lived in Buffalo most of my life I found this a great find on a recent return visit.

Harbor front has been rebuilt within the last few years. Nice for walking. Great views of the sunset from the observation tower at the foot of the harbor. Can also get a quick bite to eat and ice cream.
