Great area to stroll around and stop in an interesting variety of shops and delicious foods to try. Pleasant shop keepers that love to discuss their wares and talk about the area. Nice area to visit for an afternoon stroll. Close to Delaware park.

Great area to hang out in. Lots of great bars, live music. My bartenders were free-pouring whiskey & made me very happy!! Lots of good late night food options too. It's a happening spot.

We walked the neighborhood on a free self guided walking tour found on the visitors page for Buffalo detailing many of the sites along our route. The free download is called Allentown tour. Think its always fun to see some of the old homes restored to some of their original splendor. Its nice to have some points of interest as... More

Allentown is the stop if you're going to bar hop and listen to music all night. It's crowded, but that's what makes it fun! The restaurants are nichey and fun, the wine and beer flows, and the characters are interesting. But there is always somewhere great to hang out, some bands playing, you'll run into all kinds of people, and... More

A very thriving neighborhood that attracts the sociable party crowd as well as shoppers of eclectic tastes. Many good restaurants of the informal type, mostly sandwiches, pizza, Mexican etc. Stays busy until 4A.M. There are also many building murals and artistic decorations.

This is a mix of all ethnic groups. They bring all the Arts, and Crafts to look over, and it is usually a bright, perfect day to wander thou the Tables. Ethnic foods are prepared for you to sample & enjoy. If you like walking, and kind of window shopping, this is the time to enjoy!

In May 2013 I had the pleasure of visiting Allentown for the first time since 1958 when we moved out of our apartment on Edwards Street and relocated to Los Angeles. I have to tell you I was very impressed by the old neighborhood and all of the kind and wonderful people I met. I was thrilled to find the... More

So much to see even during the evening when stores are closed. The residential blocks are beautiful with magnificently maintained home and yards. We visited on a Friday evening before many homes were part of their annual garden tour. So they were pristine and welcoming. Loved the area and it's easy to imagine and fantasize about living in such a... More
