A National Historic Landmark designed by Eliel and Eero Saarinen, the hall was constructed in 1940 as the permanent home of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, it has also become home to Just Buffalo Literary Center's Babel Series and the Buffalo Chamber Music Society's performances. The acoustics are really good. The crowd is typical of Buffalo, friendly, engaging, and accommodating in tight spaces. The seats as with most venues are a bit close, but for command performances everyone stands anyway.

Kleinhans has always been a Buffalo gem. Whatever your choice maybe from their venue, you will not be disappointed. The seating is comfortable and I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house. Pre concert Dinner reservations are taken for Henry's if you choose at a fixed price. Although we did not have dinner I have heard it... More

Just saw a terrific concert, with incredible acoustics. The works of Charles Ives directed by JoAnn Falletta was a concert not to miss. What made the entire evening so great was making it a complete, trouble-free event, with absolutely no hassle. We made dinner reservations at Henry's @ Kleinhans at 5:30. We arrived to a nearly empty paring lot and... More

This is one of the best places to see a performance of any type. We have seen just about every kind of venue there and have never been disappointed no matter where your seats are. This January, we seen the alan Parsons Project, WOW!!! the show was fantastic! I must say, after the 80's and 90's I kind of lost... More

Came in for the Alan Parsons concert. Great sound in venue. Nice size not too big. Easy in and out parking.

I have been to two events at Kleinhans since returning to Buffalo recently. I sat in the balcony for the first event and in the orchestra for the Mozart concert. Seating room is sufficient and acoustics are great. Kleinhans is one of the largest music halls in the world. A real buffalo gem for the past 75 years.

Have been here many times. The acoustics are fabulous. Virtually no bad seat in the small auditorium. The only downside, parking can be a pain in the neck. One of those places that could be easily overlooked but should not be. There are many great restaurants in the immediate area for an after performance dinner.

I have been at Kleinhans a number of times to hear the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Always great place to listen to a variety of music including classical and rock & roll. Good size, but if you go to listen to piano concerts, get seats on the left hand side of the stage to watch the pianist hands. The volunteers are... More
