Walking up and down Elmwood Avenue and you discover loads of restaurants, bars, and otherwise interesting businesses. We did not have a lot of time to explore but what we did was well worth the time. Wear comfy shoes as the blocks stretch on for a while.

We enjoyed people watching and visiting the small stores and restaurants on the Elmwood Strip. Parking can be difficult and we had to park on a side street.

There are about six blocks of stores and restaurants in this area of buffalo which is fairly interesting. Many of the boutiques offer one-of-a-kind items. You can spend an hour or two just browsing through it all. Make you sure that you drop by one of the candy stores to try the unique-to-Buffalo sponge candy (aka fairy food). Have a... More

There are so many local restaurants, shops, coffee houses, and beautiful homes in Elmwood Village that it's a must see. The ideal spot is to park around the Bidwell/Elmwood intersection, but the entire stretch of Elmwood from Allentown to the 198 is a great, long stretch of culture. You can bar hop, shop, eat, have business meetings, picnics, or see... More

I'm in town working a project and found an apartment in the area. REALLY Great...Buffalo and the people of Buffalo are not what I expected. Everyone is helpful, nice and just unreal. Really safe area as my wife flies up on occasions and stays at the apartment while I work. She has a great time walking the area (for miles)... More
