As someone who has lived in New York City and DC, I'm a little jaded when it comes to incredible museums. $12 seems a little steep for a somewhat small collection, but it was still a very pleasant afternoon, and they did have an impressive number of pieces by extremely well-known artists from the roots of French impressionism to contemporary... more

I was given the suggestion to visit this museum by a fellow TA member while inquiring about what to do in Buffalo. On Friday afternoon, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. the museum is FREE, however due to our own schedule, we were unable to visit on Friday, so we visited the museum on Saturday, 11/1/2008. Admission is $10.00 each... more

Really a world class collection of modern art. Not just a relic of Buffalo's heyday, the museum hosts traveling exhibitions and organizes its own. I spent hours wandering around looking at pieces from all the top artists of the 20th century. the restaurant is also very nice as well. a Must if you're visiting anywhere within a 100 miles. more

Spent hours here! My favorite painting by Jackson Pollack was on display when I went, along with several by Andy Warhol, another favorite of mine. Exhibits are constantly changing, and Fridays are free- how can you beat that? I believe parking is $3, but that is well worth it! There is a gift shop where I bought a postcard size... more

Outstanding exhibitions are housed in two architectural treasures, the 1905 building and the 1962 addition. The restaurant (Muse) inside is also great. I always bring out of town guests to the Albright-Knox! Not to be missed! more

Here's a great tip for the Albright Knox Art Gallery...it's free on Friday evenings after 3pm!!! It is a nice smallish gallery... there are famous paintings there but sometimes they are put out of the rotation. I have seen Jackson Pollack, Andy Warhol, Monet, and others. The glass house is really interesting too. There is a house made up of... more

This museum makes a great day trip. My mother and I went the last time we were in town and LOVED the show. We each got an audio wand and listened to additional insights. The show was very moving, about Chinese artwork. The best part is that it wasn’t ancient Chinese artwork, but art from today’s Chinese artists. We both... more

What a let down! We were there October 8,2005. The second floor was closed so all we got was the ground floor for $8/person plus $3 for parking. The whole thing seems so amateurish! From the quantity of art work on display, to the pieces themselves! Other than the Pollock, nothing worth the detour. Could not even take a picture... more
