If you like modern art and are in Buffalo, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery is a must-see. The museum has many of the modern masters, such as Gauguin, Picasso, Dali, Lichtenstein, Braque, and Toulouse-Lautrec. Renoir is represented too. One exhibit that was particularly interesting was "The Mirrored Room" (formally known as "Room No. 2"). You cannot enter this room barefoot or... More

Recently had one day in Buffalo - went to the Albright-Knox for a party they threw to welcome back their treasures from a road trip to Denver. Beautiful works by well known and lesser known contemporary artists, a band outside, food trucks and beer. What more can you ever want from a museum?

I'm bias because I'm a docent at the AKAG. When I first moved to Buffalo (6 years ago) I joined the art museum, expecting a rather conservative collection but WOW! Not what I expected! I enjoy contemporary art and took the time to learn more about it. To enjoy this museum, unless you are an art aficionado, takes some explanation.... More

Albright-Knox has a wonderful mix of works on permanent display and other areas that are always exciting and new. We also loved seeing the display of some of the best art by young people from Western New York in the Art'scool display.

This is an excellent art museum and a pleasant place to take the family to peruse the collection and enjoy the gift shop and restaurant. Our son and his family, including baby granddaughter, live in Buffalo and we plan a visit to the Albright-Knox each time we go there to see them. When our granddaughter is a bit older we... More

We visited the gallery because it was an easy walk from our B&B in nearby Elmwood Village. The exterior public sculpture is amazing. And then we went inside and were very surprised at how much we enjoyed the Clyfford Still exhibit. Some areas were closed because of transitions from one exhibit to another, but it was still an enjoyable visit.... More

Although I'm not a fan of modern art, I still enjoy visiting the Albright Knox. My interest in it started back in my college days when I attended Buffalo State right across the street. The building is bright and easy to navigate. There is also a nice restaurant that serves lunch and a great gift shop.

A beautiful gallery with a plethera of amazing art pieces. Everything from the typical painting to the most obscure objects and everything in between. Particulary liked the HUGE seascape - felt a sense of peace admiring the wash of waves.

I enjoy the variety of the mediums and styles. All ages seem to enjoy the variety, something for everyone. There is a cafe, but that is very pricey!

I'm not the type of person that regularly seeks out art museums, but the images of the Anselm Kiefer landscape exhibit lured me in while I was in town. The exhibit was well worth it! There were other exhibits on the 2nd floor that had me scratching my head wondering who decided they qualified as art (the first one that... More
