The theater is the real attraction when attending the musical in reality. The production itself is basically a western style variety show with no clear theme. The music is a mix of country, gospel and a live band. You will have content screaming "america" at you in small doses on stage but with little direction. You basically get a buffet... More

The Medora Musical has a cast larger than the town has people. On a hillside near town is an elaborate amphitheater built into the side of the mountain. The summer stock-type performance is attended by hundreds of locals from North Dakota as well as tourists from farther afield. The western themed show is hit and miss, with over-the-top sets, performances,... More

It is a fun enjoyable show, only go one time a year though as the show is the same every night. There are list of other fun things to do in Medora though. Stagecoach rides shopping , the park where you can see all kinds of wild animals.

We saw the 50 Anniversary Special and it really was! Commencing with a cowboy on horseback carrying the flag in front of a gigantic US Flag until the finale, the audience shared a history of the Medora Musical, the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and North Dkota. The dancing and singing was very entertaining and professional. We were there the first... More

This was a very good performance! We went in Sept. on the closing week so it was a bit cool but we had blankets that we were happy to have.

I grew up in ND and the western Badlands are a magical place, that's why Teddy Roosevelt loved it. The experience and backdrop of this musical is just awesome! You can't beat a ND summer evening in the badlands and the performers are always top notch.

This show was a lot of fun, we plan on going again. It was very professionally done, the singers and dancers were of excellent caliber. We compare it to many of the shows we have seen on cruise ships.
