Lake Mary is somewhat of a misleading name. it is more of an expanding and contracting pond based on snowfall. If there has been enough rain one might do some shallow boating and fishing but do not eat the fish. Best to catch and release. Mud and rocks, so careful. If you are planning on boating call Lake Mary Lodge... More

It's amazing just how big this lake once was. Still a wonderful place to visit and kayak on. Massive shore area so you'll always find spots to be alone. Morman lake is also just down the road for another astonishing view (although often dry).

We were exploring the area and made a brief stop here with out 2 dogs. We thought that it was a very pretty lake. It was pretty hot outside, so we didn't stay too long. We would definitely visit again and spend more time. It would be nice to fish and take a couple of chairs to hangout for a... More

We wanted to see what this lake might have to offer for future visits since we love to fish. The water level was low, the water muddy brown, and not pretty scenery around the lake. It is known for, so we were told, walleye and pike, but they had just stocked trout a couple days earlier and the banks were... More

Finally got around to seeing the "Lake Mary" the TV weather guy refers to. What people say here is accurate. I don't even see how it COULD be deep enough for much water sport activity even full. It's outside Flagstaff so the surroundings are beautiful. There were some people fishing on the shore, though everywhere you read it says the... More

A polluted mud hole! don't eat the fish if you can catch any! Don't let your kids or Dogs swim in it! Serious mercury issues!

If you want to walk or wade at the lake shores; be-carfull ton of rocks and bolders. I twisted my ankle while doing this. If fishing or boating, is a great place to be. A very small lake and recent water levels have caused muddy waters. Bring a camera to take in the bueaty

If you are looking to just fish off the shore or just a nice quite time to yourself this is a nice place. Be careful what part of the lake you do choose - don't know why but there was cow pies in the section I went to - then again it may just be a one time event and... More

I like this area, as it is so peaceful and scenic. I've seen beautiful lakes and scenery before, but when the stars come out on a clear night and the moon turns the lake surface to silver, this place takes on a different kind of serenity for me.
