I went snowshoeing here onthe 23d of December after seven inches of fluffy, beautiful powder had fallen overnight. The facility has a great staff, awesome rental shop, and a really neat lodge, complete with indoor and outdoor fireplaces. They even hand out free granola bars before you head out! The conditions were, in a word, amazing. Aside from the snow,... More

There are a lot of good parts to this facility. The trails are very, VERY well-marked ~ perfect for novices and experienced skiers alike. The equipment is in nicely maintained condition, as well. Tried snow-shoeing, which was a blast, on the Turkey Trail and knocked it out in 30 or so minutes with two small children. Returned the next day... More

We stayed in one of the Large Yurts for one night and it was fabulous! We hiked one mile to our very own yurt complete with Wood Burning Stove for heat, grill and fire pit with wood! This place was great! Keep in mind there is no running water but they do give you a 5 gallon container of clean... More

Thanks to the Flagstaff Nordic Center (and a discount coupon) I had one of the best camp experiences possible. We rented a small yurt for an overnight hiking-camping weekend. The staff member at the Center was friendly and gave us great local trail information. The yurt is a weather-proof, round insulated canvas building with a skylight and miniature woodburning stove.... I love to snowshoe and cross country ski. There are days that the Nordic Center in Flagstaff helps make my winter enjoyment happen but sometimes the staff are rude and express stress and frustration. Needless to say that ruins the experience for me and I find myself spending my time snowshoeing and cross country skiing out in the woods or... More

Went on a Tuesday afternoon. Snow was getting thin in places. They had not made tracks at least since the weekend. Excuse was snow was to soft. Sad story. Just saving expence of running machine. Trail fee was still just the same . More

Miles of groomed trails for x-country. Rentals of diff. types of skis, snowshoes, sleds, ski toboggans for babies. The cost for our family of 4, with trail pass was $128 - quite $$$. (I think they should waive trail pass fee w/rental prices). Was a good day though - even our 8 yr old did the trails no prob. (her... More
