We asked three separate staff people today August 30th 2014 and they were all very helpful and really kind. They represent the town really well.

So, I gave the Visitor's Center a call to see how the parking works at the Railroad station. Now, mind you, the visitor's center is IN the railroad station. Andy knew you could park, but did not know the cost, and was vague on the mechanics involved in parking our car. He told me to call Amtrak. And he said... More

The Visitor Center is in a working railroad station, and it had historical information as well as info about what to do in the city. Very friendly staff. We used the walking tour map and were utterly charmed by the city. Flagstaff does seem to have a number of hippies--old and young--much tie dyed attire. Very welcoming, very well laid... More

Good quick stop to grab pamphlets about things to do in the area. Don't get stuck at the railroad crossing leaving. You can be there for a long time watching miles of trains go by.

We only stopped in Flagstaff to get a bite to eat, but happened to park opposite the Visitor Centre so we popped in. The people were so helpful. In particular a nice map of old Flagstaff, which we wandered around whilst choosing our lunch spot. They also have a huge array of leaflets about attractions in this region of Arizona.... More

We've been to Flagstaff numerous times but have never really seen the town itself and experienced its history. The Visitor Center (in the railroad station right downtown) offers a guided tour of Old Town (actually New Town) that provides excellent historical information about the original town and railroad. It's about a 2-hour tour (actually ran a half hour over) with... More

The Visitors Center is the place to go if you want to find out what to do in Flagstaff and want a map of the town. They gave us a map to get to Grand Canyon along with directions.

We arrived looking for information about walking around downtown. The staff located Jerry who providers walking tours. Jerry was dressed as a deputy from the early days of Flagstaff. He told us stories about the founding fathers and families. Jerry's stories added to the overall experience about the history and influences that formed Flagstaff. We were able to go inside... More

If you need maps or brochures or have questions this is fine, but I was somewhat disappointed that there were no exhibits or displays that I saw, it was just the maps etc. and stuff for sale (gift shop type souveniers). FUnctional but not worth visiting for itself.
