My girlfriend and I occasionally take riding lessons here, and we always have a blast. The horses are young enough that they have good energy and want to ride (and gallop if you're a good rider), but they're mature enough that they won't do something unpredictable. All the instructors/guides are experienced riders and are great teachers. We haven't been on... More

This was an amazing day. We did the 6-hr ride and the trails/views/stops were breathtaking. They were ready for us (2) when we arrived and were on out way with two guides. The horses were better than most and the staff was fun. I have been to many stables across U.S. Caribbean, Mexico and Costa Rica and Hitchin' Post is... More

Enjoyed the 1-1/2 hour morning breakfast ride on the first tour of the day and had a wonderful time. Our trail guide was pleasant and very engaging in conversation. We were lucky to be the only two riders which made the trip nice, exclusive and intimate. Highly recommended.

My family of five (2 adults, 3 teens) decided to include a horseback ride as part of our week long trip to Arizona. One daughter has taken a few months of riding lessons and was looking forward to being with the horses. Sadly, we were only able to SIT on the horses for two hours while they followed each other... Our family of six, including two seniors (one 80 yr old) and two juniors (a 6 and 8 yr old) had a fabulous time. We wanted a short one-hour ride that we could all enjoy and Hichin' Post Stables delivered. Our guides, Tia and Jake, took great care of us. They gave us just the right horses, took us on... More

Thus is a must if you are in Flagstaff. Everyone is so nice. We went on an hour ride that was beautiful. Our guide, Jody was funny, Knowledgeable and responsible. The horses were easy to ride. One of the highlights of our trip.

My 12-year-old daughter upon getting off her horse asked, "when can we do that again?" A ringing endorsement. We took the two hour trail ride into the canyon. It was beautiful. We are not experienced riders, my husband has never been on a horse before, but the ride was pretty easy and the guide was helpful. My horse was slow... More

We'd originally planned a sleigh ride, but out procrastination and a general lack of snow persuaded us to alter our plans in favor of a trail ride. While I cannot comment on the sleigh ride (obviously) I can tell you that the trail ride was very nice. Ours was a small party, just the three of us (my wife, our... More
