Currently the museum is in transition to larger and better facilities which will make your visit just that much more special and informative. My family found the museum displayed pieces, supporting information and personal service outstanding. What we saw and learned was applicable for the Flagstaff area, Arizona and the US military overall.

The Fort Tuthill Military Museum is packed (wall-to-wall) with history. I took my family last year and spent nearly three hours looking, reading and talking with docents that were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Recently, the museum moved, but remains within the confines of the fairgrounds. Last weekend, we attended an outdoor event held at the museums new location and got... More

After driving around in circles - very poor signage - we found a park service agent that informed us the museum was closed. The website looked interesting, but as far aw we could tell there is not much happening for this museum. We won't go back.

This is for the military person in your life. It is very interesting and all relavent to the area, whether you live here or not. Educational and I believe there is a nominal fee and/or donations accepted to help keep it going - it is a small building but packed with items.

Intimate military museum filled with history. A must see in Flagstaff. Many unique and interesting items to look at. Small enough to see everything.

Even though I am not connected to the army, I am really interested in the history of it, and when I was in Flagstaff for a weekend, I had no doubts that I should stop-by at Fort Tuthill Military Museum. Yes, I will not hide that the place is small and prior entering I had some doubts on how it... More

Great things come in small packages. Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. She is a school teacher and I am a retired Marine currently working for the Army at Ft Sill, Ok. In our 27 years of active service we've toured a lot of great military museums. I have to say the amount of history displayed per squre foot... More

I went to a small museum today and was very impressed with the display that showed the history of the 1st Arizona Infantry/158th Infantry. The displays included many artifacts from 1865 through present day and included some items I have never seen before and I am a museum nut, so I have seen everything from small local museums to the... We live here in Flag. and I kept viewing the FTMM openings in the newspaper. One of the last lazy Saturdays of the summer and it was time to get the boys out of the house. Super great diorama, lots of knives and guns, wonderfully annotated photos and artifacts from the 1850's to the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. I... More

I went to his museum after hearing about it from some friends. There is a ton of reading, which is good as I can use the material in my middle school history classroom. By the same token, if the reading is too much, this museum is FULL of artifacts that serve as beautiful primary sources. They even have some German... More
