We enjoyed Bright Angel & South Kaibab :) Bright Angel is very popular and easy to hike/walk, while S Kaibab is much steeper but has excellent canyon vistas at every turn! Loved both - Bright Angel is a safer/easier choice if the wind is gusty or high.

Best time of the year to hike rim to rim. Flagsatff is an ideal post-hiking twon for us - Mountain Film Festival every October, great shopping in downtown, and many good restaurants!!

This was our first visit to the grand canyon and all I can say is WOW! It was so breathtaking I was speechless the first moment I saw it. We did a 3 mile hike on the south rim, it was a little rough, but there were some amazing views! I am so glad we did this, I will never... More

Lots of miles put in in our speed tour loop from Phoenix. With kids 10,11,14 & 16 we hiked the kanab and hermit road trails one day and bright angel the second day.

Nov 01 to 04 2010, for 4 days Erik lead us to the Colorado River and back up. The hike followed the Grandview Trail down, the Tonto Trail, and the New Hance Trail back to the South Rim. It was an incredible way to experience the Grand Canyon at a beautiful time of the year! We were guided by Erik... More

We took 7 kids (age 9-16) to the Grand Canyon and really wanted to get beyond the viewing the canyon from the rim. John and Paige from Grand Canyon Hikes were perfect. They were filled with great information, and they were awesome with our kids, balancing fun and help and safety. They inspected sore feet for blister beginnings, prepared a... More
