Fun snowboarding for beginners, beautiful views

Snowbowl is a great place to learn how to ski or snowboard. The green slopes are long and nice. When the weather is bad, it can get icy, but overall it is still a good experience... read more

Quick trip from Phoenix but a world away! I could have never imagined such a great place to snowboard/ski would be located in Arizona. I haven't done much snowboarding before, but everyone I ran into agreed that it was a great mountain! Lots of different runs for all skill levels! At $69 for a lift ticket, plus $39-$49 if you... This was our first visit to Arizona Snowbowl and were we ever pleasantly surprised. The runs were groomed and the lift tickets reasonably priced. The cafés were also reasonably priced unlike Colorado resorts. I would certainly return. I understand that weekends can be very crowded.

Snowbowl is a great place to learn how to ski or snowboard. The green slopes are long and nice. When the weather is bad, it can get icy, but overall it is still a good experience. Honestly, the only problem that I have with Snowbowl is that it can't handle overcrowding- especially in the food court/lodge. If at all possible,... More

Snowbowl was ok. I am an expert while husband is a beginner. There aren't enough beginner trails and when we were there, the slopes were quite icy. I also never had to cross a parking lot to get from one ski lift to another. I prefer Sunrise better.

My husband and I had not been skiing in 20 years- we had just dropped our son off at NAU and went skiing on a whim (bucket list item!).It was Saturday of MLK weekend after it snowed on Friday, so we expected lots of people. The only reason for one less star is the lineup on the bunny/learning slopes, they... More

Great place in AZ to snowboard or ski. A few hours from Phoenix and you're in the snow. Reasonable rates, and a fun day trip.

OK, there had just been a BIG snow so as we were there the conditions and the beauty were outstanding. Pro's 1. Plenty of runs of various types to keep all skiers happy. 2. Well groomed runs. 3. Very friendly lift and trail staff. 4. Short / no lines on the week days. Cons 1. Confusing / limited signage. 2.... More

Went on a day trip, by coach, to Snowbowl. Included was lift ticket, rental and a lesson for my 2 teenage daughters. I skied the whole mountain. Lifts took a while in the morning but the slopes were open and plenty of room. I was very pleasantly surprised by the choice of runs, the quality of the grooming and the... More

Our first experience at a ski resort and it was awesome !!. We visited during christmas 2015 and the staffs were very patient, courteous and helpful. Make sure you drive a FWD/AWD or have chains as they don't allow cars to go up the mountain in snow, if itsn't a FWD/AWD or no chains. Recommend to go early and plan... More

Snowbowl is the best option for those living in Phoenix since it's only a 2.5 hour drive from there. We picked a Saturday to go there after it had snowed for 4 days straight. We had reviews that warned of long rental lines and those without 4x4/AWDs not being let through. To avoid being turned back, we rented skis at... More
