This is my favorite trail to go on with my new bike. It runs along the river which is great and it's very clean. I always start at Cannonsburgh Village and head to Thompson Lane and then turn back which is about 6 miles total. Most of the people accumulate around the trail heads but become more sparse as you... We were staying with one of my friend's family in Murfreesboro and wanted a quick hike/walk outside in the nice weather, and this was perfect. Really nice path and cool bridges with some spots to explore off the trail. Great if you have some people in a group that aren't huge fans of hiking because it is really just a... More

Great for walking or riding bikes. Plenty of shade. Plenty of convenient trail heads. The Greenway also provides access to some of the Civil War sites. Don't forget to keep your eye out for The Green Dragon.

The trail was level and had a great deal of room. The restroom was clean. The downside was the trash that could be seen in the river, and there was one property that had several old possibly abandoned vehicles that made the walk less scenic.

Awesome place to ride bikes, run or walk. Beautiful paved paths along the river. Very peaceful. There are areas of shade and sun so bring sunscreen in the Summer. There are benches along the way to sit and relax.

The Stones River Greenway is impressive! It is a paved path that is wide enough for many to use. It is great for walking, jogging, cycling, etc. The path is marked with mile markers and It follows Stones River and Lytle Creek. Several of the trailheads have playgrounds and pavilions. There are several Civil War historical interests along the path.... More

The greenway is a good location to run, walk, or bike in Murfreesboro. It has many access points- the most popular are at Old Fort Park (the greenway actually goes through the park) and Thompson Lane. The greenway is safe and flat. Police do regularly monitor the greenway; however there are a few stretches that are a little remote. It... More

This is local for us and we use it often. Lots of scenic areas along the river and it takes you from housing and shopping areas to downtown Murfreesboro. You may bring your dog(s) on a leash and let them take a dip in the river or visit the Bark Park which is on the trail.

One of the better walking trails I've been on. We were just visiting and are not that familiar with the area, but the portion we did walk was beautiful and well planned out. Great place for a relaxing/peaceful walk after shopping all day. We plan to visit this area often and will certainly be returning!
