The greenway is excellent. We ride bikes here often. The roads are paved and wide. The river is in view for a large portion. There's a dog park. Smooth for most of the park - there are just a few sections of tree roots and where the road has broken up some. We usually start at Cannonsburg Village. There's a... More

My wife and I visited Murfreesboro for a baseball tournament, and in our spare time, we hiked this wonderful trail system. I salute the folks who planned this trail system. It is one of the best, and should be a model for any city

Place is well maintained by city and safe place right next to River. Most areas are covered with tree to walk late morning also.

The greenway is terrific for biking riding and walking. Even a picnic with the family is fun. Lots to look at, clean, and beautiful.

A nice wide, paved, wooded, walking and biking path along the river. Not crowded, just walker, joggers and bikers.

I just moved to Murfreesboro and was happily surprised to find the Stones River Greenway. It is a several mile path (with different trailhead locations) that follows the very pretty Stones River. It's great for a walk, a jog, canoe or kayak trip, or to see the battleground area or to take a bike ride. There is even a BARK... More

I love the sprawling winding paths of the Stones River Greenway. I'm so proud of our city and the investment in maximizing this riverbank shaped park.

My hubby and I LOVE going to the greenway. We are in Murfreesboro a lot and enjoy walking the greenway during nice weather. It is pretty much all the way paved, wide walkway, very wooded, safe, and scenic. I just love it. Great place to go for a stroll, and also it is good for biking. We see a lot... More

This is a great way to enjoy the River and walk, run or ride a bike. You can even take a canoe or kayak. Great way to enjoy a nice day, take a picnic lunch and have a day of it!

I feel like The Greenway is an under appreciated part of Murfreesboro. So many towns don't have safe, clean areas for walking but this has it all! Not only do you have miles of paved road to walk on but it also runs parallel to the Stones Rivers for a majority of the time. Take a full day to research... More
