While this mall was once the center of attention in Scranton, it has, like so many other things in Scranton, deteriorated. Most of the stores, including the anchor store have closed and there is little hope on the horizon. I would stay away from there now as it isn't a very safe area to be in at night.

I recall when I was little coming to Steamtown, going to the toy shops, having lunch at the food court and make an entire day out of it. Now, the food court is down to 1 or 2 places with the rest empty. About 80% of the shops have closed with those still open bunched together. Depressing is the best... More

Paying tribute to The Office remains the only reason to visit this mall. Struggles of the remaining shops adjacent to the shut storefronts makes it even more depressing than a completely vacant building.

This COULD be a lovely mall but many of the stores are empty now it seems. The place was a ghost town with the exception of Boscovs.

I was here a few years ago and there were fewer vacant shops then. There are several vacant shops now. The food court has approximately three places to eat. I really think the city is missing out by not embracing the series "the office" more than they they do. Little to no mention of it. There are a lot of... More

Ok, where did everyone go? This place was so dead, even the zombies don't shop there. They need to replace their missing stores because there is more of them then stores open.

Growing up on a big city and then going to this mall was depressing. This mall has some of the basic stores, but not well stocked. The food court is below average.

This mall has the potential to be really nice but right now it's pretty pitiful. Very few stores. The nicest thing in the mall was the starbucks. Even the parking garage felt like something out of a scary movie! We won't be back for awhile.
