It is a good walk and relaxing. the area is kept nice and clean and appealing. Really is fun to walk around the lake. The park officers are polite. Parking lot is big. The view of the lake is good to. A nice laid back environment. A good place to visit if nature is your thing.

Ample parking. Open until dusk. Park officer waits at the gate until the last person leaves, no getting locked in. Nice 3 mile paved path. Get's pretty busy during nice weather, but people are pretty sparce as the spread over the 3 miles is pretty big. Great views of the lake.

The paved walkway is a little over 5k, easy walk with a few hills (not steep at all). It's picturesque in most areas. Have never seen any bears like another poster says, but it is the woods and there are deer and the occasional snake sunning itself, so just be cautious. Also it's pretty safe, never had any issues walking... More

Always a great place to get a quick walk or jog in. The trees were just budding but the four seasons around the lake change the way it looks all year long. Speed traps all around so watch the posted speed.

Path was excellent and just what we needed to get some exercise before a hard afternoon of shopping! Great views and seemed to be well utilized path. We parked across the street from the Lake Scranton metal gate, but there wasn't great parking opportunities at this spot. We probably should have researched other parking areas before heading out. Please note... More

On RT. 307 parking lot is a horrible walk to the path. It's steep and rock covered. After that it's great. 8-10 feet wide of black top. Easy inclines, none that I would call a hill. About 3.25 miles long. Plenty of places to stop for rest or pictures. (Both natural and man made) Far end had an attractive older... More

Wear comfortable shoes, and if it's been wet, nothing you want to get muddy. The path is paved all around (3.5 miles I believe the whole circle), but... Getting from the Hemlock parking lot to the main walkway, you have to go down a sloped dirt path. Also, to address a couple of the negative comments, YES, no wheels! You... More

I started walking lake Scranton with my best friend and now enjoy bringing my son for walks there as well. They do an excellent job maintaining the walking path year round. It can be slightly tricky for parents with small children to get strollers easily down the main path but it can be done....I have taken both a jogging stroller... More

I've been walking Lake Scranton for 35+ years. It's an wonderful place to take friends, family, children, etc. It's a clean, smooth, 3.5 mile loop where you can observe lovely water, trees, and wildlife. There's always something new to see wherever you go. It's a great place to take photographs. If you are having a family reunion, this would make... More
