Nice peaceful walk

The paved trail goes all around the lake for about 3 miles. No bathrooms on the trail. Very peaceful and calming for a walk

What a beautiful way to spend your time and get exercise too. Lake Scranton is 3.5 around. It is well maintained and you will always see others that automatically say hello to you. The lake is right there. You can see wildlife during your journey. I have spent a lot of time walking around the lake. You will enjoy it!

Great 3.5 mile workout. Scenery is superb great place to work out and you don't feel like your working out. Wish I could visit every day!

Three and a half miles of bliss. Can be done in four seasons. No pets/bikes allowed. My favorite season is autumn- the trees are priceless. Walkers and joggers alike. No bathrooms.

This was a lovely, serene, wooded walk around a lake. It was very pleasant to find such a setting (we felt as if we were in the country) near the downtown of a city. We didn't have time to walk around the entire lake; someone we passed said that there was a bear cub frolicking in one spot.

Scranton Lake is actually a man-created and is a source of drinking water for the city of Scranton. The 3+ mile walk around the lake is peaceful...and good exercise. Parking is a bit of a problem (but not a significant barrier). Don't bring your dog...pets are not permitted.

I have been walking Lake Scranton for years. It's a little over 3 miles all around. They have mile markers which I like. I've gone both ways around to see which direction has less inclines. About even. No dogs, bicycles and no crowds to run into. Only ducks, geese and deer. It is a very pleasant walk with the water... More

Close by , easy walking path with ample parking. Nice going around the lake in all of the seasons, but fall is spectacular.

I love walking this 3.5 mile path, either alone or with a friend. No dogs or bikes allowed! Great scenery with all of the trees and the lake. It is a wide paved road and the only traffic is the occasional water company vehicle--watch out for them, especially if you are walking with headphones in your ears. The squirrels will... More
