This is tough to review. The museum and show are set in clearly a very old house and the ambiance reflect that. the collection and knowledge of Bravo and Dorothy reflect that. Here's where it gets tough: from a kid's perspective, the 3+ hours you have to spend are enjoyable, fun and very engaging. From an adult's perspective, it drags... More

This was not quite what we expected, but it was great fun. The 2 owners put on a great show and clearly have a love for what they do. Takes about 3 hours for the whole production and it was an entertaining way to spend the afternoon.

This was not a planned stop but it was worth the detour. It's a bit corny but if you like the cpy, roadside attractions then you'll really like this museum. It's really cool and you'll enjoy the history and showmanship.

This place will make your wallet disappear and cut your attention span in half. Long, non sequitur rambling anecdotes that you can't escape from because they parking lot is crowded as tight as the "theater" is jammed with folding chairs. The rambling stories make the first half hour of mandatory television watching seem like a distant dream. Part Brady Bunch... More

It is important to arrive at 1. The show begins with an informative film, followed by a tour of two rooms packed with extraordinary Houdini memorabilia. This is followed by several magic shows. The show is professional, tongue-in-cheek, includes a bit of selling of magic tricks (buy them!). The experience reminds one of a mix of vaudeville, Las Vegas and... More

I was rather disappointed with the whole experience. I am not sure what I expected, but it certainly was NOT this. It was a museum that was a house located in a small neighborhood. There was lots of memorabilia all over appearing very cluttered. The magician/ MC left a lot to be desired. The lady magician was supposed to be... More

We have been to the Houdini Museum three times over the years. The tour is very informative and the true enjoyment come from watching the young magicians selected from the audience assist with some of the illusions. It is a good idea to get there for the start of the tour. There are snacks and cold bottled water and juice... More

We really enjoyed the Houdini Museum. You should know it is definitely NOT a typical museum visit. The two magicians who run the museum are dedicated to the history of Houdini and the contribution to the field of illusions and escapism. If you are going get there at the opening at 1:00 pm. The experience is definitely guided and if... More

This is one of those classic roadside attractions. Great family fun. It is run as a not for profit museum dedicated to the preservation of all things Houdini. The tour once a day at 1pm lasts at least 3 hours. It starts with a brief video followed by a tour of the history of Houdini in the first room then... More

Fun experience. They are open from 1 to 4, and you should get there at 1 and plan to stay until 4. Dorothy and Bravo live and breathe Houdini. You get a short film and lecture, then a tour, and then a show. More than I expected when I saw the outside of the building.
