We went here on our way down to Philly, having seen the museum on 'Roadside America'. Dorothy was great, clearly talented and an entertainer. The show itself was fun, however it dragged on with Bravo's portion, where he demonstrated children's magic tricks, which could be purchased in the gift shop. This took about half an hour, and was almost like...

We didn't have an appointment but were able to join the group. Dick did lots of talking..he was very passionate about Houdini. Of course the show was the best part. Dotty was very good. Just took too long to get to the show. Place was messy and needs to cleaned up a bit.
I had a great time and was thoroughly entertained. Museum is located in a regular house and the amount of houdini related items piled into such a small location to the point that it was similar to an episode of hoarders.
Price includes a guided tour and a magic show. I did not think that I wanted such a tour,...

In order to visit this museum, you need to make an appointment and you're lucky if you can get one. Open around Halloween but that's it. Not much of a museum.

The Houdini Museum hosts(hosted) Birthday parties. I had a joint birthday party there for 2 of my daughters. The entertainment portion was wonderful - fuss over the birthday girls and all. The party part was disappointing - 1 person trying to carter it and not very well either; was rather gruff too. Good magic bu NOT a class act. As...

Great magic show. The museum felt like a visit to Houdini's attic. There was also film clips of Houdini and movies made about him.
Great unknown place in scranton. great show for adults and kids alike. A little difficult to locate and park, but dont let that discourage you.
visited this musuem and was suprised at the detail given by the hosts. the museum sits in an old house in scranton and many of the artifacts are crammed into a small house which is probably the only drawback. the hosts give you a wonderful history of houdini's life and they top off the visit with a very nice magic...
