GREAT EXPERIENCE! Dorothy & Bravo the Great do a great job preserving the memory of Houdini. They are also excellent with children during the magic show. We spent about 4 hours there and could of stayed longer! If you love Houdini and the art of magic, this a good place to spend an afternoon. JK Pittsburgh, Pa

We saw the ad for the museum in a brochure for the Poconos and decided to go there. When we arrived at the address on Jul 14, it looked way off beat, given the neighborhood. It had a good marquis/sign, but it wasp in a 100 year old house and parking was in the back accessible by a back street.... More

I feel terrible every time I hear of or read people writing about how hyped they were to come see this place. There's people who have traveled from other states to come here. This place is a joke! I have lived here my whole life, been to this place a couple times. I had my 8th birthday party here. Believe... More

We visited the museum on a recent Monday and arrived just as the daily magic show was starting--and we loved it! It was a little kitschy, a little campy, but so much fun and truly entertaining. Dorothy and Bravo obviously have years of experience and the history of magic they incorporate into the show is really cool. I think we... More

You don't go to a place like this to be wowed by the latest illusions or the shiny lights. You go for an authentic, living replica of a time past that cannot be created at a larger commercial level. I come from a family of magicians dating back to the mid 20th century and this museum brought that era back to... More

I really wanted to like this place, and we could not help but like Dorothy & Bravo- however the tour was way too long, the museum very small and poorly organized, and the magic show was alternately mildly amusing and painfully amateurish. The whole place would be great for an hour visit. After 3 hours of it we were trying... More

Houdini Museum is located in a house in Scranton. When you first walk in you are overcome with Houdini memorabilia. The museum is run by Bravo The Great aka Dick Brooks and Dorothy Dietrich. They did not let us peruse the treasures in our own time. They are all about crown control from the moment you walk through the door... More

We were in PA visiting relatives and caught a show. They mentioned they have many more items to display and were looking into renting a larger venue. That is a great idea to update it all and organize it a little more with more space. So call to make sure they are open at this location. Some of the reviews... More

What a shame! The Houdini Museum was definitely on our Scranton schedule so we could take souvenirs back to the other grandchildren back in England. Having eventually found the attraction and then a place to park [there is space at the back of the property] we discovered [July 2013] to our horror that it was closed for restoration. We'd seen... Great magic tricks, history and museum. Price a bit high but more than that, they are hurting for money to keep the place up and really push beyond the admission fee for donations.
