I live in Springfield and Blunt Park is not an attraction. There is not much to see or do in this park. I would not bother to go there and it is not in the greatest section.

In a city as large and heavily populated such as Springfield, these little parks offer residents a place to go to get away from it all. The park is on a very busy street and adjacent to an Ice Arena and then a large high school, but does set back off the road. During the day many retired folks get... More

Recently, I drove by the skating pond (not the arena) where I learned to skate as a child. The pond was overgrown with weeds and looked forlorn. Blunt Park used to be an open field that seemed to stretch for a mile (as a kid would see it). Now there is a school that takes up most of the openness... More

just okay. have spent some time in the park to read. noisy near road. Occasionally park in the woods deeper when working on the ambulance which is slightly more peaceful. The park is used for baseball games and other sporting events

It doesn't have much to do in it, there are basketball courts and open fields that double as soccer/ football fields, so it is stirring with families at certain times. In summer, it does attract a lot of teens, but I've never had any problems with any of them. It has a picnic area way down back, but I've never... More

Blunt park.... the name says it all. I wont even begin to describe the horrors that go on here (day or night). A quick google news search will tell you all there is to know

It's really not a bad area. It's known for a few things here and there but in reality it's not bad. That park is a great park but only for a few things. If you want to play baseball, softball, football, soccer, or even basketball then that's a good park to go to. I live 2 minutes away and nothing... More

Just a warning to prospective travelers; there is nothing to see at Blunt Park. It's just a bunch of sports fields and basketball courts. Plus, it's not in a great section of town.
