We took the Sea Otter and Wildlife Quest tour off our Holland America cruise. Saw lots of wildlife including seals, otters, whales, jelly fish, and Salmon. Great tour with knowable guides. Everyone on their crew was very friendly. Got lots of great pictures. The ride does get a little bumpy, but we expected that

We booked the Sea Otter and Wildlife Quest excursion onboard Celebrity Infinity. Duration 3 hours with a 1pm or 4pm departure and the cost was USD139.75. We boarded a catamaran on a beautiful sunny day in Sitka. I absolutely love sea otters so had high hopes for this trip. It did not disappoint. The first sighting of wildlife were some... More

We went on the sea otter and wildlife quest, which was about a three hour tour. Our tour was on a day when Sitka received about 4 inches of rain in one hour, and there were terrible mudslides. Nonetheless, the captain and guides were able to find two rafts of sea otters, along with a few sitka deer, a swimming... More

We enjoyed a nine day cruise on the Alaskan Dream with 38 others, departing from Sitka and terminating in Ketchican. This was a remarkable experience. The small boat, actually a catamaran, can get to places the larger boats cannot. For example we were within a 1/4 mile of the glacier faces in both arms of Tracy Arm. The ship is... More

Folks from the cruise ships say their best option is one of the Allen Marine WIldlife Tours. What's not so well known is that non-cruise ship passengers also have this option on Saturday afternoons. One of their smaller boats with a super team of captain and crew leaves at 1:30 and almost always finds whales, sea otters, eagles and now... More

I did the Sea Otter and Wildlife quest, and we did find wildlife! Only one sea otter, but saw a group of humpback whales! We got within a few hundred yards of them when about 25 yards from the boat one surfaced and sprayed us with its mist! We also saw another whale closer to shore. We saw a bald... More

If you have only a 1/2 day in Sitka, the one thing I would do would be a wildlife trip with Allen Marine Tours. We are a family of 5, and although our kids aren't much for "tourist attractions", this was one thing that they all raved about. The captain knew just how to get us in close so that... More

This highly professional company guarantees wildlife sightings, or they will give you a $100.00 bill! Forget about getting any money - they knew exactly where to go in Sitka Sound to find sea otters - males and females with babies, whales, sitka deer and lots of birds, . They have complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and muffins on board. The... More

This was a most wonderful cruise of 8 days.....So well organized, exceeding expectations. The two leaders were outstanding. This was NOT a big ship cruise which many sail on because of the glitz and glamour and entertainment, this was educational, a time for reflection, quiet, and awe. The staff was excellent...food, kayak and inflatable raft experience, viewing glaciers, wildlife, villages... More

Allen Marine is a generous and community minded business who provides tours for non-profits. The Sitka Conservation Society sponsored a cruise to Frosty Reef which included a shore excursion to enjoy the incredibly low tide. The Allen Marine boats are fast and comfortable with great views from the many windows. The crew makes sure everyone is able disembark safely. We... More
