We wanted a small boat tour without a crowd of people, and Kent offered a charter for just the four of us, extended the hours for a very reasonable price, and geared the trip to what we most wanted to see. The day was beautiful and the water smooth enough for us to go way out to the sea lion... More

This was a very memorable charter for us, too! We closed our business at the end of September 2014. Thanks to all who elected to explore Alaska's waters with us. Further inquiries may be made to bevandkent@hotmail.com. More

Wow end of of season and still whales it was a wet time but we knew that when we made to decision to take the cruise. What beautiful animals. Will go back when whales more plentiful and rain less likely to enjoy more. Celebrity Cruises helped make up for weather with outstanding service and food.

Loved our 3-hour tour with Kent. His boat is small (room for 6 maximum), but that just means you don't have to climb over other tourists to see the whales, otters, eagles, puffins, seals, etc. This isn't a "fixed itinerary tour," but Kent finds out what you're most interested in and points the boat in that direction. The seas were... More

I went out on a 3 hour wildlife boat tour with Sitka Secrets and it was the highlight of my trip to Sitka. I had heard that Sitka Marine Wildlife Tours were the Top Thing to do in Sitka and this trip proved it! We saw humpback whales, tons of sea otters, Steller sea lions, bald eagles and made a... More

Sitka Secrets is the best guide service we have ever booked! They truly plan out your trip to fit your personal interests, and give you a close up experience you'll remember the rest of your life. We booked the tour for sea birds nesting at St. Lazaria. Kent has extensive knowledge about the birds that use the island, and on... More

We just got off Kent's boat and had a lovely 2 hour trip around the islands. We saw sea otters, several whales, seal lions, harbour seals, bald eagles and searched for bears, but unfortunately didn't get to see one.

I really enjoyed the 2 boat tours I did with Kent. I was traveling solo, and Bev worked hard to fit me in with other groups. The first time I went out the weather was not cooperative for going to St. lazaria, but Kent managed to locate both puffins and Rhinoceros Auklets for me, even though the others on the... More

We had an amazing time on our Charter trip with Sitka's Secret. Bev was great working out all of the arrangements! And John did a great job showing us all the secret spots. We saw several humpbacks and got stellar "tail" photos! We also saw Eagles nest and watched it swoop down to catch a fish in the water. Saw... More

Thanks for your kind review! I'm now wondering if someone took my husband's place when I wasn't looking:o. There's really no other place Kent would rather be, than on the ocean, so thanks for giving him an excuse to be there. Bev More

If you enjoy being ferried about by a personable, articulate and highly knowledgeable guide then Kent and his Sitka Secret is perfect for you. There are loads of "wildlife tours" in AK, but Kent has to be one of the best for the traveler who avoids tour buses and/or lethargic college kids with a summer job.He really, really knows his stuff and... Ken our skipper is a retired Park Ranger and Biologist who has extensive knowledge of the wildlife in Alaska. His boat was comfortable and perfect for a small group. There were only six and that was great! We set out on our adventure headed to St. Lazaria Island which is a bird and wildlife sanctuary. Along the way we saw... More
