Our Mama Bear Zipline tour includes 7 ziplines, for a total of 2700 ft of line racing through the forest canopy at up to 35 miles an hour. The last 1000 ft stretch brings you out over a meadow to land on the tower above our 3-story Bear Scramble climbing wall. Your trip starts with a rustic ride up a mountain road behind the tractor, where you’ll get comfortable with the zipline safety gear and procedures on the training zipline. Our professional guides have all been trained according to Association of Challenge Course (ACCT) requirements. We can confidently offer a safe as well as invigorating experience. We also offer a Bear Scramble climbing wall. Scramble up our 3-story climbing wall to ring the bell at the top. Our wall has multiple ascent paths and accommodates two climbers at a time, so you can come with a group and race your friends to the top! Access to the wall is available in half-hour increments, giving users many chances to improve their times, or try out a trickier path up. We use a state-of-the-art auto-belay system, allowing climbers to use the wall unassisted and rappel down under supervision by our certified guides. Please note that participants must weigh between 70 and 250 lbs and be at least 8 years of age to participate in the Mama Bear Zipline tour. The Bear Scramble can accommodate guests who weigh between 50 and 300 lbs. « less

Our 15-year-old daughter and her friend loved it! This was their second time ziplining but their favorite. We booked the day before and luckily there were available slots.

This was the first time going on a zipline for me, my husband and our two kids (9 and 12 1/2). It was a great time! We would definitely do this again!

While spending a long weekend in the Shenandoah Valley we did the Mama Bear zipline and my kids and husband absolutely loved it. I have a fear of heights so it was scary taking that step off the platform at the beginning of each zip but I felt safe due to the skill and knowledge of the guides as well... More

We took our kids there to try out the new Baby Bear high rope adventure and they loved it. They loved it so much we returned the next weekend to do again. The staff was extremely helpful and supportive of the kids. I would recommend this to anyone, kids or adults, who have an adventurous spirit.

This facility is only about 5 miles east of Luray caverns, so we made reservations for the following day once we got done visiting the caverns. They can only accommodate a limited number of people for each "tour", and they have several tours a day. The whole experience lasted a little over one hour, Staff: Very friendly an made everyone... We made a reservation about 2 weeks prior to the date we wanted to go. Drove over a hour to reach the destination only to be met by.....no one. After waiting for 30 minutes we left. Tip for all future customers (from a will-never-be-a-customer): call a day or two before you try to get a zipline tour to confirm someone... More

On a recent trip to the Shenendoah in Luray with a large group of friends a few of us decided we may want to try ziplining when we saw it on our drive up. After our hike, we stopped at Bear Mountain Adventures to see if they could take us. We had no wait and within 10 minutes our group... More

My daughter,9, and I tried the zip line adventure and LOVED it!! The guides were very helpful and told you what to do. All participants got to practice on a short line before doing the longer ones. All equipment, zip lines, platforms, etc. we're pretty new and safe. We would do this again for sure!!

The staff and crew made this the most enjoyable thing I have done in a very long time. The trails and lines are well maintained and secure. The safety protocol the the guides use with each person is beyond impressive. This is a must do if you are going to be in the area, just be sure to have reservations... More

This was the first time my family experienced zip-lining, and it was great. LOCATION- on a main road (hwy 211), location marked with a giant billboard COST- average cost when compared to other locations, gave a military discount, was willing to give a refund if one of our children was too scared to complete the training zip-line ACCOMMODATIONS- had our...
