We visited after lunch, lots of snakes and reptiles upon entering. Outside the birds were beautiful, the monkeys adorable. We ran into the owner(we think). He told us all about the tiger and how he takes care of her, feeds her, and handles her if she gets frisky. On to the gator feeding, again the owner? Was informative, some of... More

With our grand kids liking this, we like it to! Love the show and the great info provided! If you enjoy wildlife and being near them, come out for a visit. There's warm and cold blooded animals here! Gift shop too!

This little zoo, a bit rough around the edges, was one of the best parts of our trip. Ryan got to pet, feed and learn about animals and preservation. The monkeys were a trip and the staff more than friendly! plus a sweet little gift shop

The place is a bit run down but the animals seem will cared for. The tiger cage should be bigger. The reptile collection is pretty big for a small zoo. Cobra, Black Mamba, and many more. Worth a visit.

We stopped at the Luray Zoo during a trip to Luray Caverns. This zoo is great! There are a ton of reptiles, several monkeys, a tiger, birds of all types, wallabies, alligators, and a cute petting zoo. The animals are very well taken care of. We were there when it opened around 10:00 and they must have just been fed.... More

My husband and I booked the discovery tour, which is a tour done by the zoo owners, Christine or Mark after hours. They took us around, and we got to interact with animals that you could never have interacted with at a bigger zoo. We pet a porcupine, fed bananas to a ring-tailed lemur, and fed ice cream to a... Luray Zoo is a small pet rescue zoo. A lot crammed into a small space but everyone who we interacted with were very helpful and passionate about what they are doing. There is a small petting zoo, a large reptile exhibit (if you don't like reptiles, no way to get around it to the rest of the zoo) which you... More

This is probably the closest you'll ever get to a tiger. She's beautiful. Kids loved all of the venomous snakes and the petting zoo. Peacock and Kookaburra kept the place lively. Wallabies were cuties.
