Always enjoy the zoo, not overwhelming like the bigger zoos, easier to view animals. Petting zoo and jeep a big hit. Suggestion would be to have available sponsorships for animals available in gift shop-kids wanted to see who could be sponsored, but info not seen.

We are glad to hear that you all had a great visit at the zoo! I am sorry about not having any more sponsor forms available in the gift shop; they are in print now and should have some soon. You are able to sponsor any of the animals here at Luray zoo. If you go to lurayzoo.com you can...

This is not a major city zoo by any stretch, but the smallness of it makes it more intimate. My 3-year-old granddaughter absolutely loved being able to feed the goats and other animals at the back end (bring lots of quarters to buy the food). Easy to find, easy to park - Wal Mart's across the street. It's a great...

All of us being animal lovers, we were pleased to see the care and attention each of the animals apparently received. Our granddaughter was thrilled to feed the goats, donkey, pig, and yaks. Although small, this zoo is worth visiting. After we had left...

The animals they have are some of the most intriguing, though, and you'll spend more time looking at them than the insect gallery at your big-city zoo. The serpentarium...

The collection of animals is nice, however, we were closely followed by the owner & it was menacing to say the least. He is very rude & obviously biased towards certain animals, demeaning any light conversation and not leaving us to enjoy his establishment. It was not a pleasant experience & we would rather have avoided it altogether in retrospect.

The overwhelming majority of visitors enjoy my presents while touring the zoo. The visitor gets to learn about the animals from the one who works with them and gets to hear the individual stories about any of the animals the visitor wants to know about. I’m honest and to the point when talking to people about the animals in our...

Mark and his wife and crew have done an excellent job putting this place together, and rescuing some animals that no one else could rescue; alligators and monkeys and bobcats and turtles...plus many more...you will see some very different creatures here, and have a great tour. Please be generous with your donations!
