Grant's grove is the home to one of the largest Sequoia trees in the world. It is a great place to visit and walk around in the forest and enjoy the beauty of the Sequoia National Park and all it has to offer.

Awe-inspiring views of sequoia trees. Lovely trails and hikes. Lots of history. John Muir Lodge and restaurant were quiet, clean, and the food was good. Did not like the tiny, winding road going south through the park. Drive slowly!

The major attraction on this route, through Three Rivers, is Giant Forest. This includes Moro Rock, a must climb of 340 steps, and the General Sherman tree, the largest living thing in the world. The General Grant tree, at Grant Grove is some miles north, taking the General's Highway (get it?). Not sure who screwed up, but you will not... More

Absolutely amaZing. I am warning those weary of heights... this is not the place for you. The trip up to these giants was scary as hell... hair-pin turns every 25 feet, massive cliffs and all around scary! If you are brave though, it is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! Well worth the $20. The hike... More

This place is truly spectacular. We visited on mid March, though the weather was pretty nice, as March is still considered to be off-season, there was very few people and we enjoyed the easy trail on our own. The main attraction is General Grant tree, which is the second largest living being on earth, it's just huge. There are many... More

When my five year old grand daughter saw the General Grant tree she stopped in her tracks. It was so funny and made me get all teary eyed too. Its still a pretty huge tree to adults but to a kid it is colossal. We had a great day walking through so many other parts of the park. Great to... More

We walked the short General Grant Tree Trail. The Sequoias are just beautiful and it is hard to get your head around just how huge they are. Thank goodness for the National Parks.

Being around the giant sequoias was incredible! Visitors were very quiet around the trees, which was nice. It feels like being in a sacred place. The General Grant tree is the National Christmas Tree, so of course we wanted to see it. A nice walk around the grove, and an interesting museum to explore.

Grant Grove was beautiful, and the trees are overwhelming. The road to and from the grove can be very curvy, and we had a teenager in the car who was quite carsick. Grant Grove village was convenient for carsickness pills, soda, and other needs.
